5 Star Hotels in Alleppey

Alleppey's luxury hotel landscape is anchored by a single, full-service five-star property that brings together backwater settings, dedicated meeting spaces, and large-scale outdoor venues — all in one address. For event planners seeking prestige-tier hospitality in Kerala's backwater capital, the city's five-star stock is centred in the Punnamada locality, placing guests and delegates directly on one of the region's most scenic waterways.

The Venue on Offer

Ramada by Wyndham Alleppey is currently the sole five-star property listed in this category in Alleppey. It presents a notably diverse set of event spaces within a single property — including the Vembanad hall, a dedicated Meeting Room, and the Kuttanad Outdoor and Punnamada outdoor venues. This variety means a single booking can accommodate everything from a focused boardroom session to a sprawling celebration under open skies, without moving between venues.

Capacity at a Glance

The property's event spaces collectively span a capacity range of 14 to 1,000 guests. The smaller end — anchored by the Meeting Room — suits intimate gatherings and focused corporate sessions, while the larger halls and outdoor venues comfortably scale to 600 guests and beyond. Two spaces fall under the 200-guest mark, making them well-suited for mid-size conferences, product launches, or private dinners, and one space crosses the 600-guest threshold for grand receptions and large corporate events. Planners working with groups anywhere in the 100–1,000 range will find at least one format here that matches their headcount.

Where in Alleppey

All five-star event inventory in Alleppey currently sits in the Punnamada locality — a premium waterfront stretch known for its proximity to Punnamada Lake and the broader Vembanad backwater system. This location adds an unmistakable Kerala character to events, with outdoor spaces that open directly onto or overlook the backwaters. For delegates travelling from Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram, Punnamada is accessible and distinctly different from a city-centre hotel setting.
