5 Star Hotels in Benaulim

Benaulim's five-star event landscape is anchored by one of South Goa's most distinguished luxury properties. With capacities ranging from 40 to 1,000 guests and a diverse set of indoor and outdoor event spaces — spanning beach lawns, forest settings, and formal banquet halls — the tier delivers full-service, prestige-level hosting for events of nearly every scale. For planners seeking genuine luxury in a coastal Goan setting, this is where to start.

The Venue: What Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Offers

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa is the sole five-star property in Benaulim currently listed on Spalba, and its breadth of event spaces more than justifies its standing. The venue presents six distinct spaces for event use: the sprawling Beach Lawns and Lobster Village Lawns for open-air celebrations, the lush Rain Forest Lawn for a unique natural backdrop, and three indoor options — Sala Grande, Saleta 1, and Saleta 2 — for more formal or climate-controlled gatherings. Few properties in Goa offer this combination of outdoor grandeur and structured indoor flexibility under one roof.

Matching Capacities to Your Event

The capacity range at this property is notably wide. At the lower end, intimate gatherings from 40 guests are well accommodated, making it suitable for private corporate roundtables, small ceremonies, or exclusive social events. The typical usable range sits between 40 and 500 guests, covering the majority of corporate conferences, weddings, and social celebrations. For larger mandates, at least one space scales up to 1,000 guests — appropriate for grand receptions or large-format corporate events. With two spaces configured for groups under 200 and one capable of hosting over 600, there is genuine flexibility across event sizes.

Location: Benaulim, South Goa

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa is situated in Benaulim itself, a relatively quiet stretch of South Goa known for its unhurried coastline. For event guests travelling from Goa's airport or from Margao, the location is accessible while remaining distinctly away from the bustle of North Goa's more congested resort belt. This makes it a particularly thoughtful choice for destination events where the setting is as important as the venue infrastructure. Spalba's 3D virtual tours allow you to walk through the event spaces remotely before committing to a site visit.
