Solan's luxury venue landscape currently centres on one fully-equipped five-star property, and it makes a strong case for itself. Suryavilas Luxury Resort and Spa, situated in Gandhigram, brings together multiple event-ready spaces within a single resort, offering the kind of full-service, prestige setting that distinguishes true luxury hospitality from the rest of Solan's hotel stock.
The Venue and What It Offers
Suryavilas Luxury Resort and Spa is the standout five-star option in Solan, and it covers a notably varied spread of event spaces. The property features a Mudra Lawn for open-air gatherings, a poolside area ideal for ambient evening functions, a hi-tea lounge suited to curated daytime engagements, and a barbeque setup for informal yet elevated social occasions. This range of distinct venue types within one property means planners can host different segments of a multi-format event — ceremony, cocktails, dining — across dedicated spaces without leaving the resort.
Capacity: Matching Your Guest Count
For events in Solan at the five-star tier, the numbers here are well-defined. Suryavilas accommodates anywhere from 80 guests at the smaller end up to 250 guests at full capacity, with the typical planning range sitting between 120 and 250. All three of the event spaces on the property fall within the intimate-to-mid-scale bracket (under 200 guests), making this resort particularly well-suited to corporate off-sites, milestone celebrations, destination weddings with a curated guest list, and executive retreats where an immersive, full-resort experience matters more than raw headcount.
Location: Gandhigram, Solan
The resort is located in Gandhigram, one of Solan's more scenic and accessible localities. For guests travelling from Chandigarh or other nearby cities, this positioning makes it a practical destination-event choice — far enough from urban density to feel like a genuine retreat, yet reachable without extended travel. Spalba's 3D virtual tour feature lets you walk through the resort's event spaces remotely before making any commitment.
