Bellary's current listing for formal academic graduation ceremonies features one verified convocation venue — Hyatt Place Hampi, located in the Vidyanagar Township area. The property offers a notable spread of event spaces, with capacities ranging from as few as 14 up to 800 seated guests, making it a flexible anchor for institutions planning ceremonies of varying scale in this part of Karnataka.
The Venue at a Glance
Hyatt Place Hampi brings together four distinct spaces — Meeting Place 1, Meeting Place 2, Lawn 1, and Lawn 2 — each suited to different aspects of a graduation event. The indoor meeting halls can accommodate structured seating arrangements befitting a formal convocation, while the two lawns offer open-air alternatives for post-ceremony receptions or overflow gatherings. This mix of indoor and outdoor configurations within a single property is particularly useful for institutions that need to separate the formal degree-conferral from the accompanying celebrations.
Capacity Guidance for Graduation Ceremonies
The venue's capacity range of 14 to 800 covers the full spectrum of convocation needs in Bellary. The typical operating range of 250–800 guests makes it well suited for mid-sized to large university or college graduation batches. At the same time, the presence of a smaller-capacity configuration (under 200) means departmental convocations or smaller professional programmes can also be hosted with appropriate intimacy rather than being swallowed by an oversized hall. When shortlisting, match your confirmed guest count — graduates, faculty, and families combined — against these figures before finalising.
Location: Vidyanagar Township
Hyatt Place Hampi sits within Vidyanagar Township, a planned residential and institutional zone in the Bellary district. For institutions based in or around this corridor, proximity reduces logistics complexity for students and guests alike. The township setting also means the surrounding area is relatively self-contained, which can simplify coordination for multi-session convocations held across a single day. Spalba's 3D virtual tour feature lets organisers inspect the venue layout remotely before committing to a site visit.
