Benaulim offers 3 venues suitable for formal academic graduation ceremonies, spread across the localities of Vaswaddo, Benaulim, and Calwaddo. The stock here leans on resort-based settings — think ballrooms, pool-side lawns, and terraces — making this coastal pocket of Goa a distinctive backdrop for institutions seeking a graduation event outside a conventional campus. Capacities run from 50 to 400, which suits mid-sized cohorts particularly well.
The Venues Available
The three properties currently listed on Spalba span well-recognised hospitality names. La Grace Resort brings a selection of outdoor lawn spaces to the table, while Fairfield by Marriott Goa Benaulim and Fortune Resort Benaulim, Goa together offer named spaces such as Sal Ballroom, Sal Ballroom 2, Sal Lawns, Pool Side Lawn, Pool Terrace, and Yoga Lawns. This breadth of venue types within a single property grouping means planners can match the ceremony's tone — indoor-formal or open-air — without leaving Benaulim.
Matching Capacity to Your Graduating Cohort
The capacity range across these convocation venues runs from a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 400, with the typical sweet spot sitting between 80 and 300 guests. All 7 recorded hall configurations fall under 200, which signals that Benaulim's stock is best suited to intimate-to-mid-scale graduation ceremonies — ideal for professional institutes, smaller colleges, or departmental convocations rather than large university-wide events. If your expected attendance sits comfortably within the 80–300 range, you will find several viable space options here.
Where Venues Are Located in Benaulim
The listed venues are distributed across three nearby localities: Vaswaddo, Benaulim proper, and Calwaddo. All three are clustered within the broader Benaulim coastal belt in South Goa, which means logistical coordination — guest accommodation, transport, and catering — can be managed with relative ease. The proximity of these localities to each other also helps when scouting multiple venues in a single site visit.
