Convocation Venues in Kasaragod

Kasaragod's convocation venue landscape is currently anchored by a distinctive waterfront property near Kappil Beach. Spalba lists 1 venue in this category — Taj Bekal Resort & Spa, Kerala — which offers a range of six event spaces suited to formal academic graduation ceremonies, with a combined capacity ceiling of 1,000 guests.

The Venue and Its Event Spaces

Taj Bekal Resort & Spa brings an unusual breadth of indoor and outdoor options to academic events in Kasaragod. Its six configurable spaces — Agenda, Soiree Hall, Soiree 1, Soiree 2, Pool Side Lawn, and Beach Lawn — mean that a single property can accommodate everything from an intimate faculty convocation to a full-scale degree ceremony. The mix of dedicated indoor halls and open-air lawns gives institutions flexibility that few standalone academic venues can match in this district.

Capacity Guidance for Academic Gatherings

The venue's capacity range runs from as few as 10 guests up to 1,000, making it relevant for gatherings of widely varying size. The typical usable range across individual spaces falls between 64 and 424 guests. Three of the available spaces fall under the 200-seat mark — well suited to departmental convocations or postgraduate batch ceremonies — while one space scales beyond 600, appropriate for larger undergraduate degree days. Institutions should match their confirmed attendee count to the specific space rather than the property's aggregate maximum.

Location: Kappil Beach, Kasaragod

The venue sits along the Kappil Beach coastline, one of Kasaragod's more scenic stretches of shoreline. For institutions bringing in graduates, families, and faculty from outside the district, the resort setting offers both a memorable backdrop for ceremony photographs and on-site accommodation — a practical consideration when convocation schedules span multiple days or involve guests travelling from across Kerala and beyond.
