Capacity Range and Matching Your Ceremony Size

Thrissur's convocation venue stock covers a notably wide spectrum. The smallest configurations start at 5 seats, catering to doctoral hooding ceremonies or faculty investitures, while the largest hall accommodates up to 1,268 guests. Typical usable capacities across the listed halls fall between 20 and 646. Of the 26 hall configurations available, 19 seat fewer than 200 — well suited to department-level or postgraduate convocations — and 7 accommodate 600 or more, appropriate for institution-wide graduation days. This split means planners should confirm hall selection early, particularly for larger cohorts where fewer options exist.

Where the Venues Are Located

The four venues are distributed across distinct parts of Thrissur. Puzhakkal, on the city's northern approach corridor, hosts properties with strong road connectivity for outstation families and guests. Swaraj Round — Thrissur's central landmark zone — and nearby P.O. Road place venues close to the city's commercial and institutional core. Chembukkav rounds out the spread with an accessible mid-city location. For institutions based in or around central Thrissur, multiple localities put a formal venue within reasonable reach.
