Event Venues in Salcete

Salcete, South Goa's coastal taluka, currently lists 3 event venues on Spalba, spanning a capacity range of 40 to 900 guests. What makes this collection distinctly Goan is the mix of beachfront resort settings, open lawns, and poolside spaces — spread across the coastal localities of Betalbatim, Aquem Baixo, and Sernabatim. Whether you are organising an intimate gathering or a large celebration, the venues here offer a variety of event environments well suited to the region's character.

The Venues Available

The three properties on Spalba bring noticeably different event personalities to the table. Beleza By The Beach, located in Betalbatim, offers dedicated spaces including the Praia Branca and Tentacao Lawn — both suited to open-air formats. Baywatch Resort Goa in Sernabatim features a Poolside Lawn and Nazare Lawn, making it a strong option for events where the resort backdrop matters. Hotel Laxmi Empire in Aquem Baixo rounds out the set with its Sereno and KUBERA spaces, offering more enclosed banquet-style configurations.

Matching Capacity to Your Guest Count

Across these venues, the practical capacity range for most events sits between 75 and 400 guests — which covers the majority of social functions and mid-scale celebrations. The wider range extends from a minimum of 40 guests, appropriate for smaller private gatherings, up to a maximum of 900 guests for the taluka's largest setup. Seven of the bookable spaces across these properties comfortably host under 200 guests, making Salcete's venue stock particularly well-represented for intimate-to-medium-sized events. One space accommodates 600 or more, for occasions that demand a grander scale.

Where the Venues Are Located

The three event venues sit in distinct coastal pockets of Salcete. Betalbatim and Sernabatim are beachside neighbourhoods that give resort properties their defining outdoor character, while Aquem Baixo — closer to Margao — provides more accessible, town-adjacent options. Depending on how central or beach-proximate you need your venue to be, all three localities are reachable within the taluka and serve different logistical preferences for guests travelling within South Goa.
