Salcete, South Goa's coastal taluka, currently lists 3 hotels with banquet halls on Spalba — spanning beach-adjacent resorts, lawn venues, and poolside event spaces. Capacities run from an intimate 40 guests all the way to a 900-guest celebration, with the majority of event spaces comfortably accommodating between 75 and 400 attendees. For event planners looking to combine hall and stay under one roof in South Goa, Salcete's hotel-banquet stock is compact but meaningfully varied.
The Venues Available in Salcete
All three properties bring distinct characters to the table. Beleza By The Beach features the Praia Branca and Tentacao Lawn, situating events in a beachside setting in Betalbatim. Baywatch Resort Goa in Sernabatim offers a Poolside lawn and the Nazare Lawn — well-suited to open-air functions that make the most of the coastal climate. Hotel Laxmi Empire in Aquem Baixo brings the Sereno and KUBERA spaces into the mix, providing more enclosed, hall-style options for those who prefer a covered setting.
Matching Capacity to Your Event
Seven of the event spaces here are designed for gatherings under 200 guests — making Salcete particularly strong for mid-scale functions such as corporate off-sites, family celebrations, and milestone gatherings where a personal atmosphere matters. One space scales beyond 600, reaching up to 900, which serves larger social occasions without requiring a shift to a standalone venue. The typical planning range of 75 to 400 covers most wedding receptions, anniversary dinners, and corporate events that draw a regional guest list.
Where the Venues Are Located
Salcete's hotel-banquet venues cluster along the southern coast, with properties in Betalbatim, Sernabatim, and Aquem Baixo. Betalbatim and Sernabatim sit directly on or very close to the beach belt, making them natural choices when the setting itself is part of the occasion. Aquem Baixo offers slightly more accessibility from Margao, the commercial centre of South Goa, which can be relevant for guests travelling by road or rail. Across all three localities, the venues are within a manageable distance of each other.
What Hotels With Banquet Halls Offer
The defining advantage of a hotel-banquet combination is consolidation — event spaces, overnight accommodation, and on-site catering under one management. In a destination like Salcete, where a significant share of guests may be travelling from outside Goa, having guest rooms attached to the event venue removes a genuine logistical burden. Spalba's 3D virtual tours let planners walk through event spaces and hotel layouts before committing to a site visit.
