Hotels in Kasaragod

Kasaragod's hotel stock is defined by resort-style luxury anchored along the coastline — Spalba currently lists 2 hotels in the city, concentrated around the Kappil Beach and Udma localities. Both properties are full-service resorts that combine overnight stays with a range of event-ready spaces, spanning intimate gatherings for as few as 10 guests right through to large celebrations for up to 2,000. If you are planning an event in this part of Kerala, this is a distinctive and compact set of options worth exploring carefully.

The Hotels on Spalba

Both listed properties are internationally recognised resort brands situated within the Bekal belt. Taj Bekal Resort & Spa, Kerala and The Lalit Resort & Spa Bekal bring together waterfront settings and professional event infrastructure under the same roof. The venue types available across these two hotels include a Beach Lawn, a Pool Side Lawn, dedicated Soiree halls (Soiree 1 and Soiree 2), a Soiree Hall, and an Agenda space — a mix that covers everything from open-air sundowners to enclosed banquet formats.

Capacity Range and Fit

The typical functional capacity across these hotels runs from 64 to 1,000 guests, with the full range stretching from 10 to 2,000. The capacity split is telling: 4 spaces are suited to intimate events under 200 guests, while 3 spaces can comfortably accommodate larger gatherings above 600. This means both hotels can host the same multi-day event programme — an intimate board retreat in a Soiree room in the morning and a large celebration on the Beach Lawn in the evening — without guests needing to leave the property. Match your group size to the right space before shortlisting; the variance across individual venues here is significant.

Locality: Kappil Beach and Udma

Both hotels are located in the coastal stretch between Kappil Beach and Udma, a corridor renowned for its backwaters, greenery, and proximity to Bekal Fort. For event planners, this location means natural scenic backdrops are a built-in feature rather than a logistical add-on. Guests travelling from Kasaragod town or arriving via Kanhangad are within manageable distance, and the resort settings mean on-site accommodation is available for multi-day programmes.
