Mehndi Venues in Chikmagalur

Chikmagalur offers 5 venues suited to hosting a daytime mehndi ceremony, with spaces ranging from resort lawns set against coffee-estate landscapes to dedicated banquet and conference halls. The available stock leans strongly towards intimate gatherings — 4 of the 5 venues comfortably host under 200 guests — making this a destination well-matched to the traditionally close-knit nature of a henna ceremony. Venues are spread across localities including Thogarihankal, Hirekolale, Indavara, Sangameshwarpet, and Joythinagar.

The Venue Mix Available

The five mehndi venues in Chikmagalur span a varied mix of space types: Outdoor Lawns, Banquet Halls, Conference Halls, Meeting Rooms, and even a distinctive Chenakeshava Hall. Resort properties dominate the listing — Honeydewwz Exoticaa Hotel & Resort, Tex Woods Resort, Java Rain Resorts, and Eagle Eye Resorts each bring the natural, open ambience that characterises Chikmagalur's hill-station setting. Rounding out the selection is Gateway Chikmagalur-IHCL SeleQtions, a well-established hotel property that offers a more structured indoor and outdoor event environment.

Matching Capacity to Your Guest List

Across these five venues, capacity runs from a minimum of 60 guests up to 600, with the typical functional range sitting at 100–500. For most mehndi functions — which tend to draw family and close friends rather than a full wedding assembly — the four venues that seat under 200 comfortably are the natural fit. Hosts expecting a larger gathering, or combining the mehndi with an extended family event, can look at the properties with capacity reaching up to 600. Checking each venue's specific hall or lawn configuration on Spalba will help you match your guest count precisely to the right space.

Where Venues Are Located

Chikmagalur's mehndi venues are distributed across distinct localities rather than concentrated in one pocket of the city. Thogarihankal and Hirekolale offer resort-style settings closer to the hill and estate belt, while Indavara, Sangameshwarpet, and Joythinagar provide further options across the broader town area. Depending on where guests are staying or travelling from, the choice of locality can meaningfully affect convenience — Spalba's listings make it easy to filter by area. Spalba also offers 3D virtual tours for select properties, allowing you to walk through a venue's lawn or banquet space before making any commitment.
