Convocation Venues in Baga

Baga currently lists 2 verified convocation venues on Spalba, spanning a capacity range of 8 to 550 guests. Both properties sit within the Baga–Arpora coastal corridor and bring a mix of ballroom, boardroom, and lawn spaces to formal academic graduation ceremonies — an uncommon but workable combination for institutions seeking a Goa destination setting for their convocation.

The Venues Available

The two properties on this list represent well-known hospitality names along this stretch of North Goa. Lazy Lagoon, A Lemon Tree Resort, Goa, Baga offers multiple event spaces including a Lawn and a Tangerine Grand hall, while DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa - Arpora - Baga brings options such as the Grand Ballroom, Ximera, Tangerine, and a Board Room. Across both properties, the venue mix spans grand banquet-style halls, a dedicated boardroom for smaller academic panels, and an open lawn — providing organisers with a choice of indoor formal and semi-outdoor settings.

Capacity Guidance

The collective capacity range here runs from a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 550 guests, with a typical booking range of 10–200. Of the 5 spaces recorded under 200-guest capacity, most suit department-level or faculty-specific graduation ceremonies rather than institution-wide convocations. The Grand Ballroom at DoubleTree is the ceiling at 550, making it the most appropriate option should your ceremony require a larger seated audience with a stage and formal procession space. Institutions expecting under 100 attendees have several more intimate room configurations to consider across both properties.

Location: Arpora–Baga Corridor

The only locality represented in Baga's convocation venue stock is Arpora, where the DoubleTree by Hilton is situated, just minutes from the Baga beach stretch. This concentration means logistical planning — accommodation, transport, and catering — can be relatively self-contained within a compact geographic area, which can be an advantage for out-of-city students and faculty travelling in for ceremony day.
