Majorda, a quieter coastal stretch of South Goa, currently lists one hotel with dedicated banquet facilities on Spalba — Alila Diwa Goa - A Hyatt Brand. What it offers, however, is a notably wide range of spaces: six distinct venue types under one roof, accommodating groups from as few as 30 to as many as 908 guests. For planners who need hall and stay in the same property, this is Majorda's primary answer.
The Venue and Its Event Spaces
Alila Diwa Goa brings together an impressive variety of indoor and outdoor settings within a single hotel: the Udeta Ballroom, Alila Ballroom, Alila Lawn, Udeta Lawn, a Meeting Room, and a Board Room. This spread means the property can flex between a compact executive gathering and a large celebratory function without requiring a venue change. Having six distinct spaces on one campus gives event planners considerable room to configure breakout sessions, pre-function areas, or parallel gatherings across the same stay.
Capacity Guidance for Majorda
The capacity range at Alila Diwa Goa runs from 30 to 908 guests, with a typical functional range of 42 to 504. Two of its spaces are suited to more intimate setups under 200 guests — ideal for corporate meetings, smaller social functions, or private dinners — while one space scales beyond 600, making it Majorda's only hotel option for genuinely large gatherings. If your event headcount sits anywhere in that broad middle band, there is likely a configuration within this property that fits without over- or under-sizing your room.
Location: Majorda, South Goa
All hotel banquet inventory on Spalba for this category is located within Majorda itself. The locality's relatively low commercial density compared to North Goa hubs means that events here benefit from a more contained, resort-like atmosphere — guests staying on-property are rarely far from the function area. This can be a practical advantage for multi-day programmes or events where attendee movement needs to stay manageable.
