Mahabaleshwar currently lists 2 five-star hotel properties on Spalba, both concentrated in the Metgutad locality and purpose-built for full-service events amid the Sahyadri hills. The venue mix spans dedicated banquet halls, open lawns, and royal grounds — giving event planners a meaningful range of indoor and outdoor settings without leaving the luxury tier.
The Properties and Their Event Spaces
Courtyard by Marriott Mahabaleshwar and Le Meridien Resort & Spa Mahabaleshwar together offer six distinct event spaces across their combined inventory. Named spaces include the Karvi Hall, Karvi Lawn, Charles 1, Henry Lawns, Henry 2, and Royal Grounds — a mix that makes it practical to host everything from a formal seated dinner inside a hall to a sprawling outdoor celebration on manicured grounds. Both properties operate as full-service resorts, meaning event support, in-house catering, and guest accommodation sit under one roof.
Capacity at a Glance
The five-star venues in Mahabaleshwar accommodate groups from as few as 40 to as many as 400 guests, with the typical event falling in the 100–350 range. Four of the available event spaces are configured for gatherings under 200 — well suited to corporate offsites, milestone celebrations, or intimate destination weddings. None of the spaces currently exceed 600-person capacity, so if your event requires a larger footprint, the platform's broader hotel listings may be worth exploring alongside these two properties.
Location: Metgutad
Both five-star properties are situated in Metgutad, one of Mahabaleshwar's better-connected hospitality zones. The locality offers relatively easy access from the main market area while maintaining the green, resort-style setting that makes destination events in Mahabaleshwar distinctive. For event planners coordinating multi-day programmes, having accommodation and event spaces in the same Metgutad precinct simplifies logistics for outstation guests considerably.
