5 Star Hotels in Munnar

Munnar's five-star hotel inventory currently lists 1 verified luxury property on Spalba, positioned in the Kallar locality — one of the hill station's more serene and accessible pockets. The available venue spans three distinct event spaces — a Banquet Hall, a Lawn, and a Pool Side area — making it a focused but genuinely full-service option for those seeking prestige-tier hospitality in the Western Ghats.

The Luxury Property in the Mix

The Grand Cliff Resort, Munnar is currently the sole five-star listing in this category on Spalba. Set in Kallar, the property offers event organisers a choice between an indoor Banquet Hall, an open Lawn, and a scenic Pool Side space. This multi-space setup means planners have flexibility in how they configure their event, whether they prefer a formal seated arrangement or an open-air setting framed by Munnar's landscape.

Capacity at This Tier

The Grand Cliff Resort accommodates between 50 and 80 guests across its event spaces, with a typical working capacity in that same 50–80 range. This firmly positions the property in the intimate gathering category — well-suited for corporate retreats, private celebrations, curated destination weddings, and executive off-sites where exclusivity and controlled headcount matter more than sheer scale. If your event requires a larger guest count, this property may not be the right fit at this tier.

Location: Kallar

Kallar situates your event away from Munnar's more crowded tourist corridors, offering a quieter setting that complements the exclusivity expected of a five-star experience. For guests arriving from Kochi or other major cities, Kallar remains reasonably accessible while delivering the natural seclusion that defines a Munnar escape.
