Banquet Halls in Cherthala

Cherthala's banquet hall landscape currently spans 2 venues, both positioned along the backwater-adjacent stretches of Thanneermukkom and Vayalar. The available properties bring a notable range in venue type — from enclosed sabha halls and lawns to open-air amphitheatres — making this a quietly versatile market for events that need a standalone, enclosed multipurpose setting rather than a hotel ballroom.

The Venues in Cherthala's Banquet Circuit

Both properties in Cherthala's current banquet category offer distinct event environments. KTDC Kumarakom Gateway is a government-backed property that brings a Sabha Hall, a Main Lawn, and an Amphi Theatre to the table — a mix that suits events requiring both covered and open-air configurations within the same venue. Plumeria Lake Resort & Spa brings a lawn-centred setting alongside its resort infrastructure. Together, the two venues cover a meaningful spread of indoor and outdoor banquet formats.

Capacity: Matching Your Guest Count to the Right Venue

With capacities ranging from 150 to 900 guests and a typical operational range of 180–900, these venues accommodate both mid-size gatherings and large celebrations. Notably, both venues in this set can host intimate gatherings under 200 guests, while one scales up to accommodate large events above 600. If your headcount sits closer to 150–200, either venue offers a suitably scaled setting. For events pushing towards the 600–900 mark, the larger configuration available here keeps the planning realistic without requiring a venue outside the town.

Where These Venues Are Located

The banquet-capable properties in Cherthala are clustered across two localities: Thanneermukkom and Vayalar, both of which sit along the central Kerala backwater corridor. Thanneermukkom — home to the well-known bund across Vembanad Lake — gives venues in this area a scenic, accessible character. Vayalar, similarly riverine in its setting, adds another axis of choice for guests travelling from northern or southern Cherthala taluks.
