Convocation Venues in Khajuraho

Khajuraho's current stock of convocation venues is anchored by a single, well-appointed property: Ramada Khajuraho, located in the Sevagram locality. With spaces capable of hosting between 500 and 2,000 guests, this option is well suited to institutions planning large-scale formal graduation ceremonies in Madhya Pradesh's heritage city. The venue mix includes a Banquet Hall, a primary Lawn, and a second Lawn — giving organisers meaningful flexibility in how they configure the day.

The Venue at a Glance

Ramada Khajuraho offers three distinct spaces: a Banquet Hall for structured, indoor convocation settings, and two Lawn spaces for open-air graduation ceremonies. Both Lawn spaces fall into the large-event bracket, comfortably accommodating gatherings of over 600 guests, which makes them relevant for universities or institutions expecting sizeable graduating batches, faculty, and family attendees. The Banquet Hall, meanwhile, lends itself to more formally controlled setups with stage arrangements, seating rows, and PA systems in a climate-managed environment.

Capacity Guidance for Academic Ceremonies

The capacity range at Ramada Khajuraho runs from 500 to 2,000 guests across its spaces. Notably, both large event spaces (capacity over 600) are available here, and there are no intimate-format spaces under 200 in the current listing — this is unambiguously a venue suited to full-scale, institutional convocations rather than small department-level ceremonies. If your institution's graduating class, guests, and academic staff collectively run into the hundreds, the spaces here align well with that requirement. Planning committees should factor in the dual-lawn option for parallel streams or overflow arrangements.

Location: Sevagram, Khajuraho

Ramada Khajuraho is situated in Sevagram, a locality that benefits from proximity to the city's key hospitality and transport infrastructure. For outstation guests and visiting faculty — common at multi-institution convocations — a venue within an established hotel property in Sevagram offers the practical advantage of integrated accommodation, dining, and event services on a single campus.

Related Event Spaces to Consider

A convocation programme often involves more than the ceremony itself. For keynote lectures, pre-ceremony addresses, or academic panel discussions, explore auditoriums in Khajuraho. For post-ceremony institutional gatherings or formal dinners, corporate venues may serve your needs. Larger multi-event academic convocations may also benefit from reviewing convention centers in the city.
