The Venue Mix: Halls, Ballrooms, and More

The listings bring together a broad range of named spaces. Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel and Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa Kovalam offer the Kovalam coastal setting, with spaces including Bay Hall, Light House Hall, and Waves. In the city proper, Classic Sarovar Portico, Thiruvananthapuram, Hycinth Hotels, Thiruvananthapuram, and the heritage Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum each provide named banquet halls suited to structured ceremony formats. Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram, The Central Residency, and The Terrace Business Hotel round out the city-side options, collectively offering space types that include Vizhinjam Hall, Board Room, and Terrace configurations.

Matching Capacity to Your Ceremony

With a capacity range spanning 4 to 1,000 guests, the Thiruvananthapuram listings accommodate everything from a departmental convocation to a university-wide graduation. That said, the majority of the stock — 51 venues — is calibrated for gatherings under 200 guests, making this city especially practical for institutions planning mid-sized ceremonies. The typical capacity band sits at 50–250 seats, which aligns well with departmental and college-level events. Only 6 spaces scale beyond 600, so institutions requiring an auditorium-grade assembly for a large graduating class should confirm hall configurations early.

Where Venues Are Located

The 16 listings are distributed across several distinct parts of the city. Kovalam and Samudra Beach anchor the southern coastal cluster, home to larger resort properties with purpose-built event halls. The Thampanoor, PMG, and Palayam belt covers central Thiruvananthapuram, convenient for attendees arriving at the railway station or by road. Thycaud extends the choice further inland. This geographic spread means institutions can select a venue that is logistically sensible for their graduating cohort's travel patterns.
