Somnath, home to one of India's most revered Jyotirlinga temples and the sweeping shores of the Arabian Sea, presents a rare backdrop for travel-led, multi-day weddings. Spalba lists 3 destination wedding venues in Somnath, spanning banquet halls, lawns, and speciality event spaces. Most properties here are clustered within close reach of the iconic waterfront, making the city itself as memorable as the celebration it hosts.
The Venues Available
The current destination wedding stock in Somnath brings together three well-regarded properties. The Fern Residency Somnath offers the kind of full-service hospitality infrastructure that multi-day weddings demand. Clarks Collection, Somnath provides dedicated event spaces suited to both ceremonial functions and family gatherings across the wedding itinerary. Sarovar Portico, Somnath rounds out the selection with its own branded event spaces, including Lotus and Coral halls alongside open lawn areas — a practical combination for ceremonies requiring distinct settings across a two- or three-day programme.
Capacity Range and Guest Count Guidance
Across these three venues, guest capacities run from a minimum of 120 to a maximum of 500, with the typical booking falling between 150 and 250 guests. Two of the three properties are best suited to intimate-to-mid-size gatherings of under 200 — making Somnath a particularly good fit for families who want an immersive destination experience without the logistical weight of a very large gathering. None of the listed venues reaches beyond 500 guests, so couples planning celebrations above that scale should factor this into their shortlisting early.
Venue Types and Event Spaces
The venue mix in Somnath covers both indoor and outdoor formats. Banquet halls offer a climate-controlled, decor-ready environment well suited to evening ceremonies and seated dinners, while lawn spaces allow for open-air rituals, mehendi functions, or cocktail evenings under the Gujarat sky. Speciality halls such as Lotus and Coral at Sarovar Portico give event planners the flexibility to assign different functions to different spaces — a genuine advantage during multi-function wedding weekends. Spalba's 3D virtual tours allow you to walk through these spaces online before making an in-person visit.
Where Else to Look
If you are exploring options beyond destination-style properties, Spalba also lists wedding venues, resorts, and farmhouse venues in and around Somnath — each suited to different event formats and guest profiles.
