Vaikom's current listing of hotels with integrated banquet facilities stands at one verified property — a reflection of the town's intimate, backwater-country scale rather than a gap to work around. That single option, located in the Chemmanakary locality, pairs a conference-style banquet hall with resort accommodation directly on the water, offering planners the hall-plus-stay convenience that defines this category.
The Venue on the List
Kalathil Lake Resort, Kottayam is the sole hotel-with-banquet-hall option currently available in Vaikom on Spalba. The property features a Conference Hall as its primary event space, combining overnight stay facilities with a dedicated banquet setup — the core appeal for groups who need both sleeping rooms and a formal gathering space under one roof. Its location in Chemmanakary places it within Vaikom's scenic backwater belt, making arrival and accommodation logistics straightforward for out-of-town guests.
Capacity: Built for Intimate Gatherings
The banquet hall at Kalathil Lake Resort seats up to 80 guests, which places it firmly in the intimate-event bracket. For organisers planning corporate off-sites, small family celebrations, or closed-group retreats where the guest count does not exceed 80, the capacity is a precise match. There are no large-format or 600-plus options in this category in Vaikom at present, so groups requiring significantly larger hall capacities should factor this in early during their venue search.
Why the Combined Hall-and-Stay Format Matters
Booking a hotel that houses its own banquet hall removes the coordination burden of managing two separate vendors — one for the event space and another for guest accommodation. For events drawing attendees from outside Vaikom, the in-house stay option at Chemmanakary reduces travel time between the venue and lodging to zero. Spalba's 3D virtual tours let you walk through the space remotely before committing to a site visit.
