Hotels in Idukki

Idukki currently lists 2 hotels on Spalba, spread across the scenic localities of Kattappana and Thekkady. Both properties are intimate in scale, each accommodating between 80 and 100 guests, making this a focused but well-suited selection for smaller corporate gatherings, private celebrations, and retreat-style events set against the Western Ghats. The venue mix spans conference halls and restaurant spaces, giving planners a practical range of settings within a single property.

Venues Worth Exploring

The two properties on Spalba each bring a distinct character to event planning in Idukki. Edassery Resort Kattapana, located in Kattappana, offers a conference hall suited to structured meetings and small corporate events. Periyar House, positioned near Thekkady — the gateway to the Periyar Tiger Reserve — provides a restaurant setting that lends itself naturally to hosted dinners and informal gatherings. Together, these two hotels represent the breadth of service-led hospitality available in the district.

Understanding Capacity in Idukki's Hotels

Both hotels in this listing fall within the 80–100 guest capacity range, placing them firmly in the intimate-event category. Neither property crosses the 200-guest mark, which means they are best matched to focused events: leadership offsites, team workshops, destination weddings with a close guest list, or curated social evenings. If your gathering requires a larger hall or a higher headcount, it is worth exploring adjacent categories before shortlisting.

Where Venues Are Located

Idukki's listed hotels are clustered in two key localities. Kattappana, a commercial hub in the high-range region, offers accessibility for groups travelling from nearby towns. Thekkady, renowned for its proximity to the Periyar forest reserve, appeals to planners seeking an immersive, nature-adjacent backdrop for their event. Choosing between the two localities will largely depend on whether your group prioritises connectivity or experience.
