Poolside Area

Exact capacity figures for the Poolside Area depend on the event format, seating arrangement, and any staging or décor requirements. Prospective hosts should contact Delta Residency directly to get an accurate capacity figure for their specific setup.

The Poolside Area is an open-air, outdoor venue set within the hotel's grounds in Calangute. It is centred around the hotel's swimming pool, giving it a distinctive alfresco character compared to a traditional banquet hall.

Goa's dry season, broadly from October through March, is widely considered the most comfortable period for outdoor events, with pleasant temperatures and minimal rainfall. The Poolside Area's open-air format makes this seasonal window particularly favourable for evening functions and daytime celebrations alike. Hosts planning events outside this window should discuss weather contingency arrangements with the hotel.

Because the Poolside Area is an open-air space, weather can be a consideration, especially outside the October-to-March season. Prospective hosts should ask the Delta Residency events team about available backup options, such as temporary canopy or tent arrangements, when planning events during or near the monsoon period.

As an established hotel property, Delta Residency is expected to offer in-house catering and food and beverage services for events. However, the specific menus, cuisine options, and policies around external caterers should be confirmed directly with the hotel's events or banqueting team.

The open-air layout of the Poolside Area allows for flexible furniture and décor arrangements, making it adaptable for pre-wedding functions such as mehendi and sangeet ceremonies. The hotel's in-house team can work with event organisers and external decorators to configure the space. Specific décor permissions, vendor access, and setup timelines should be discussed with the events team at the time of booking.

Availability of AV equipment, sound systems, and lighting for the Poolside Area should be confirmed with Delta Residency's events team, as requirements can vary by event type. The hotel may offer in-house AV support or can advise on approved external vendors familiar with the outdoor setting.

Delta Residency is located in Calangute, North Goa, which is accessible from both Goa's Dabolim Airport (also known as Goa International Airport) and the newer Mopa International Airport. The exact travel times vary depending on traffic and route, so guests are advised to check current estimates when planning their travel. The hotel's team can typically assist with transport recommendations for outstation guests.

Delta Residency is situated in Calangute, and Calangute Beach — one of the most recognised beaches on the North Goa coastline — is in close proximity to the property. This makes the venue especially appealing for destination event guests who wish to combine their attendance with a beach experience. The exact walking or driving distance should be confirmed with the hotel.

Delta Residency is a hotel property in Calangute, so on-site guest rooms are available for event attendees requiring overnight stays. This is particularly convenient for destination weddings or multi-day corporate events where outstation guests need accommodation close to the venue. Room availability and group booking rates should be discussed directly with the hotel's reservations team.

As a hotel property, Delta Residency is expected to have parking facilities available for guests attending events. The capacity of the parking area and any arrangements for larger events should be confirmed with the hotel when finalising event logistics.

Outdoor venues in Goa, including poolside spaces, may be subject to local noise regulations and curfew timings that vary by season and jurisdiction. Event hosts should ask Delta Residency's team about any applicable sound or timing restrictions when planning their event programme, especially for evening functions with live music or DJ performances.

Pricing for the Poolside Area at Delta Residency depends on factors such as the event date, guest count, duration, catering requirements, and any additional services needed. The most reliable way to receive an accurate quote is to contact the hotel's events or sales team directly with the specific details of the occasion. Availability can also be checked through Spalba's platform or by reaching out to the property.

The Poolside Area offers an open-air setting centred around the hotel's swimming pool, creating a visually striking and photogenic backdrop that a conventional indoor banquet hall cannot replicate. The combination of open skies, a tropical Goa setting, and the pool's reflective ambience gives events a festive, relaxed character that resonates particularly well with guests at destination celebrations. For events where atmosphere and aesthetics are a priority, this outdoor format presents a genuinely differentiated experience.
