Mulberry 1

Yes, the name Mulberry 1 indicates it is one of a series of banquet or function spaces at Fortune Select Forest Hill. This makes it possible for event planners to use multiple rooms simultaneously — for example, running a breakout session in Mulberry 1 alongside a larger plenary in an adjoining space. The exact configuration of available rooms should be confirmed with the hotel's events team when enquiring.

The Kasauli and Mahiya area, set in the Shivalik hills of Himachal Pradesh, offers a focused, distraction-free environment that is well-suited to corporate retreats and team-building programmes. The forested hillside setting encourages attendees to stay on-site and engage with the agenda rather than stepping out, which many event planners find improves productivity over multi-day programmes. The location is also within comfortable driving distance of Chandigarh, making it accessible for teams travelling from Delhi NCR and Punjab.

Chandigarh International Airport is the nearest major airport to the property, and Kasauli is a well-established drive from Chandigarh. The precise travel time can vary depending on traffic and road conditions, so guests are advised to check the current distance and estimated driving time with the hotel when planning arrivals and departures.

Yes, Fortune Select Forest Hill is a hotel property, meaning guests attending events in Mulberry 1 can stay on-site in the hotel's guest rooms. This is a significant advantage for multi-day corporate offsites, destination weddings, and weekend retreats, as it removes the need to arrange separate accommodation. The exact number of available rooms and room categories should be confirmed directly with the reservations team.

As part of Fortune Select Forest Hill, which operates under the Fortune Hotels brand of ITC Hotels, catering for events in Mulberry 1 is expected to be managed through the hotel's in-house food and beverage team. This typically covers everything from buffet setups and sit-down meals to tea-and-coffee arrangements for corporate sessions. Whether outside caterers are permitted is a policy detail that should be verified directly with the hotel's events department.

As a hotel-managed banquet space, Mulberry 1 is generally expected to offer standard AV infrastructure such as projection screens, microphones, and sound systems suitable for presentations and meetings. The specific equipment available, along with any technical support provided by the hotel, should be confirmed with the events team at the time of booking to ensure it meets the requirements of a particular event.

Parking is available within the Fortune Select Forest Hill campus, which is particularly important given that private vehicle is the most common mode of arrival for guests travelling to this hill-station property. The capacity of the parking area and any arrangements for larger events with many arriving vehicles should be discussed with the hotel in advance.

Mulberry 1 can serve as a venue for wedding-related functions such as mehndi ceremonies, sangeet evenings, or an intimate reception. The convenience of having an on-site hotel means that wedding guests can stay at the property, and catering, décor coordination, and event staffing can all be managed through the hotel. For a full wedding programme spanning multiple functions, planners may wish to enquire about using additional event spaces at the property alongside Mulberry 1.

Interested event planners can contact the Fortune Select Forest Hill events or sales team directly through the official ITC Hotels website or by phone to enquire about availability and receive a customised quote. Pricing for Mulberry 1 will typically depend on the type of event, the number of guests, catering requirements, and the duration of the booking. It is advisable to reach out well in advance, particularly for weekend dates or peak season periods in the Kasauli region.

The space is suited to smaller, focused gatherings such as board meetings, training sessions, private dinners, and intimate family celebrations — event types that benefit from a contained, professionally managed environment. The hill-station setting of Mahiya and Kasauli adds a distinctive character that makes even modest-sized events feel like a special occasion. The exact minimum and maximum guest count for Mulberry 1 should be confirmed with the hotel's events team.

Fortune Select Forest Hill's position on a forested hillside near Kasauli gives the entire property a calm, retreat-like atmosphere that permeates the event experience. Guests stepping out of Mulberry 1 are met with natural surroundings rather than urban noise, which helps maintain the focused or celebratory mood of an event. This environment is particularly valued by corporate teams seeking an offsite that feels genuinely removed from city-office routines.

Kasauli and the Mahiya area are a popular weekend and short-break destination for travellers from Delhi NCR, and the drive via Chandigarh is the standard route. Many corporate groups and families travelling from Delhi choose to book a multi-day stay at the hotel to fully utilise the hill-station setting alongside their event. Guests should plan their road journey in advance and may want to ask the hotel about recommended travel routes or any transfer arrangements.

Hotel-managed banquet spaces like Mulberry 1 typically offer customisable seating layouts — theatre, classroom, banquet rounds, or boardroom — to suit different event formats. Décor arrangements for social events and weddings are generally coordinated either through the hotel's in-house team or approved vendors. Planners with specific thematic or branding requirements should discuss their vision with the Fortune Select Forest Hill events team to understand what can be accommodated.
