Pool Side

The Pool Side is an open-air venue set within the hotel grounds, with the pool area serving as its central visual feature. This means guests experience natural light and fresh air during day events, and a more atmospheric setting after dark. Event planners should confirm with the hotel directly about any weather contingency arrangements or temporary covering options available for the space.

As an open-air venue, the Pool Side is subject to weather conditions, which is an important consideration for events scheduled during Bengaluru's monsoon season. Guests are advised to discuss contingency arrangements — such as temporary shelters, marquee options, or alternative indoor spaces within the hotel — with the events team when booking.

Yes, the Pool Side is particularly suited to pre-wedding celebrations such as mehendi ceremonies, sangeet evenings, and cocktail receptions, where an outdoor setting adds to the festive mood. The pool backdrop provides a naturally elegant visual element that reduces the need for extensive décor. The hotel's in-house catering and event support teams are experienced in managing these kinds of functions at the property.

The hotel is located on Lavelle Road in Bengaluru, which sits within the city's Central Business District and is close to landmarks such as MG Road, Brigade Road, and Cubbon Park. This central address makes it accessible for guests travelling from different parts of the city. It is also within a manageable distance from Kempegowda International Airport via the main city arterials.

On-site parking is available at Hotel Southern Star Bengaluru, which is a practical benefit for events where guests arrive by private vehicle. Hosts are encouraged to check with the hotel's events team about parking capacity and any arrangements needed for larger guest counts.

Hotel Southern Star Bengaluru has an in-house catering team that services events at the Pool Side. Whether outside catering vendors are permitted is a policy detail that should be confirmed directly with the hotel's events team, as this can vary based on the nature and scale of the event.

In the evening, the Pool Side benefits from the atmospheric quality that open-air, water-adjacent venues naturally create — the reflections and ambient lighting around the pool area add visual depth without requiring elaborate décor setups. This makes it a particularly popular choice for cocktail receptions and sundowner events where mood and aesthetics are a priority.

Yes, the Pool Side works well for smaller corporate gatherings such as networking evenings, team engagement activities, and product launches where a less formal, open-air setting is an advantage. Hosts should discuss AV requirements, layout configurations, and any specific corporate event needs with the hotel's events team in advance.

As an open-air venue, the AV and technical setup at the Pool Side may differ from what is available in the hotel's indoor banquet spaces. Specific details about sound systems, lighting rigs, projection options, and connectivity should be confirmed with the Hotel Southern Star Bengaluru events team when planning the event.

Hotel Southern Star Bengaluru is a full-service hotel on Lavelle Road, and accessibility for guests with mobility requirements is best confirmed directly with the property. The events team will be able to advise on ground-level access to the Pool Side and any facilities available to support guests with specific needs.

The hotel is located on Lavelle Road, which is within close proximity to both MG Road and Brigade Road — two of Bengaluru's most central and well-known thoroughfares. This makes the venue easy to reach for guests coming from across the city, and also means guests have access to the wider dining, retail, and transport options in that neighbourhood.
