Rooftop Poolside Lounge

Capacity will vary depending on the event format — cocktail-style arrangements typically accommodate more guests than seated dining setups. For exact guest limits and recommended configurations for your event type, please reach out to the Morvee Hotels events team, who can advise based on current layout options.

The Rooftop Poolside Lounge is an open-air space, which gives it its signature alfresco character and skyline views. Because it is outdoors, weather conditions can affect events, and guests planning an event during monsoon season or winter evenings should discuss contingency arrangements with the venue team in advance.

As an open-air rooftop venue, the space is exposed to the elements, so weather contingency planning is important — particularly during Durgapur's monsoon months. Prospective bookers should ask the Morvee Hotels team about available shelter options, temporary canopy or tent arrangements, or the possibility of moving the event to an indoor space within the property if needed.

Rooftop venues in urban areas like City Centre, Durgapur may be subject to local noise regulations and hotel-imposed curfew times, particularly for music and amplified sound. Event planners should confirm permissible sound levels and event end times directly with Morvee Hotels before finalising entertainment arrangements.

The pool is a central feature of the Rooftop Poolside Lounge and forms a key part of its aesthetic appeal as an event backdrop. Whether guests have active access to the pool during a private event — as opposed to it serving as a visual feature — should be confirmed with the hotel at the time of booking.

Morvee Hotels operates its own catering and hospitality infrastructure, which can be extended to events at the Rooftop Poolside Lounge. This typically includes food and beverage service coordinated by the hotel's in-house team. Specific menu options, bar packages, and any conditions regarding outside catering vendors should be discussed with the events team.

Hotel properties generally have policies around external catering that may restrict or regulate outside food and beverage vendors. Whether Morvee Hotels permits outside caterers for rooftop events — and any associated corkage or setup fees — should be confirmed directly with the venue.

The rooftop format lends itself to creative décor including ambient lighting, floral arrangements, and poolside styling. For specifics on what AV equipment, lighting rigs, or décor packages the hotel provides in-house, and what can be brought in by external vendors, the events team at Morvee Hotels is the right point of contact.

Morvee Hotels is located in City Centre, Durgapur, and the hotel is expected to have parking provisions for guests. For confirmed details on parking capacity, any charges applicable, and availability on event days, it is advisable to check with the hotel directly when booking.

The lounge's open-air poolside setting, with ambient lighting potential and elevated city views, makes it a naturally appealing choice for pre-wedding celebrations such as sangeet evenings and cocktail nights. Couples planning destination-style celebrations within Durgapur often look to this kind of setting for functions that call for atmosphere and visual impact without requiring travel outside the city.

As a hotel property, Morvee Hotels does offer guest room accommodation, which is a practical advantage for events with out-of-town attendees. Event organisers can coordinate room blocks or group booking rates with the hotel's reservations team alongside their event booking.

Morvee Hotels is located in City Centre, Durgapur, which is accessible via the national highway network connecting Durgapur to both Kolkata and Asansol. Durgapur Railway Station also provides rail connectivity for guests travelling from these cities. For precise directions, travel time estimates, and the nearest transport hubs, the hotel team can provide detailed guidance.

To receive a pricing quote or check availability for a specific event date, prospective clients should contact Morvee Hotels directly through their official website at morveehotels.com or by reaching out to the hotel's events team. Providing details such as the event type, expected guest count, and preferred date will help the team give an accurate proposal.

Unlike a conventional indoor banquet hall, the Rooftop Poolside Lounge offers an open-air setting with the pool as a centrepiece and elevated views over Durgapur — creating an atmosphere that a closed room cannot replicate. The alfresco format encourages guests to move freely and enjoy the ambience of the space itself, making it particularly suited to social events where the setting is meant to be part of the experience.
