Poolside

Capacity at the Poolside will vary depending on the event format — seated dinners, cocktail receptions, and standing gatherings each use the space differently. Prospective bookers should contact the Orion Hotel Goa events team directly to get capacity figures for their specific event layout and style.

The Poolside is an open-air venue set around the hotel's swimming pool, which gives it the breezy, scenic character guests look for in a Goa event setting. As with any outdoor venue in Goa, weather contingency planning is important, particularly during the monsoon season. It is advisable to discuss wet-weather backup arrangements with the hotel's events team when confirming a booking.

As a hotel property, Orion Hotel Goa has its own food and beverage operation, and in-house catering is generally available for events held at the Poolside. The specific menu options, cuisine styles, and beverage packages available should be confirmed with the events or banqueting team at the time of inquiry.

Hotel properties typically have policies governing the use of outside caterers and vendors, which can vary. Couples or event planners who wish to bring in external catering, décor teams, or entertainment should clarify the hotel's vendor policy directly before confirming arrangements.

Orion Hotel Goa is a hotel property, so accommodation is available on-site for guests travelling to attend an event at the Poolside venue. This makes it a practical choice for destination events where outstation guests need to stay close to the celebration. Room availability and group booking rates should be confirmed with the hotel's reservations team.

Orion Hotel Goa is located in Alto de Porvorim, a well-connected area in North Goa situated near the Mandovi Bridge corridor. Guests travelling from Panaji, Mapusa, or the popular northern coastal stretches will find road access relatively straightforward. Those flying in will need to factor in travel time from Goa's airport, and it is worth asking the hotel about transfer arrangements.

As a hotel located in Porvorim, Orion Hotel Goa is expected to have parking facilities on or near the property. The extent of parking available for large event groups should be confirmed with the hotel directly, as requirements will differ depending on the size of the gathering.

Open-air poolside venues in Goa are subject to local noise regulations, which typically include restrictions on amplified music after a certain hour. Event planners should ask the hotel specifically about permitted sound levels and any curfew times that would affect entertainment arrangements at the Poolside.

The Poolside's open-air setting with the swimming pool as a centrepiece offers a strong visual base that works well with a range of décor styles, from minimalist lighting setups to more elaborate themed arrangements. AV equipment availability and décor support services should be discussed with the hotel's events team, who can advise on what is supplied in-house and what needs to be brought in.

The relaxed outdoor atmosphere of the Poolside makes it a practical option for corporate clients looking for a departure from standard indoor meeting venues, which is a common requirement for Goa-based retreats and offsites. The hotel's managed event infrastructure means corporate groups can benefit from coordinated catering and logistics within a single property. Specific requirements for presentations, branding, or breakout sessions should be discussed with the events team.

The Poolside's photogenic setting — open sky, pool backdrop, and evening ambience — makes it a natural fit for wedding-adjacent events such as cocktail receptions, sangeet evenings, or post-wedding brunches. Couples planning a Goa wedding can use the space to complement a main wedding event held elsewhere on the property or at a separate venue. The events team can advise on how the space is typically configured for such occasions.

Availability and pricing for the Poolside can be obtained by contacting Orion Hotel Goa directly through their official website at orionhotelgoa.com. The events or banqueting team will typically ask for the event date, estimated guest count, and event type to provide a tailored quote.

Booking and cancellation terms for the Poolside will follow the hotel's standard events policy, which can include advance deposit requirements and notice periods for cancellations or changes. Prospective bookers should request full terms in writing from the events team before confirming a reservation.

The Poolside's open-air format and pool setting make it especially well-suited to sundowner-style events, where the transition from late afternoon light to evening ambience is part of the experience. The hotel setting ensures that catering and beverage service are managed in-house, which keeps the event running smoothly. Specific lighting and setup options for evening events can be confirmed with the Orion Hotel Goa events team.
