Celebrity Lawn

The Celebrity Lawn is an open-air, outdoor venue set within the Papaya Tree Hotel's premises in Rau, Indore. Events are held under the open sky, which allows for natural light and a more spacious, airy atmosphere compared to a conventional banquet hall. Clients planning events during monsoon or extreme weather months are advised to discuss contingency arrangements — such as tent or canopy coverage — directly with the hotel's events team.

As an outdoor venue, the Celebrity Lawn is subject to weather conditions, particularly during Indore's monsoon season from June through September. Temporary canopies, shamiana covers, or tent structures can typically be arranged to provide overhead protection, though the specific options and associated costs should be confirmed with the events team before booking. Planning well in advance is recommended for events scheduled during the rainy season.

The lawn's open-air, uninterrupted layout makes it well suited to larger guest lists that might be constrained within a standard indoor banquet hall. Exact seating and standing capacities depend on the table configuration, stage dimensions, and décor setup chosen for the event. Clients should request a site visit and capacity assessment from the Papaya Tree Hotel events team to confirm numbers for their specific event.

Papaya Tree Hotel has its own food and beverage operations, and catering services are expected to be available for events held at the Celebrity Lawn. Menu options, cuisine styles, and per-plate pricing should be discussed directly with the hotel's catering team to get a quote tailored to the event's scale and requirements. Queries about whether external caterers are permitted should also be directed to the venue.

The Celebrity Lawn provides a clean outdoor canvas that can be transformed with floral canopies, fairy-light installations, branded arches, themed décor, and stage setups depending on the event type. The hotel's events team works with decorators to bring client visions to life, and whether external decorators are permitted is a detail best confirmed when making an enquiry. Couples planning weddings are encouraged to discuss décor packages and tie-ups at the time of site visit.

Papaya Tree Hotel, Rau is a hotel property with its own premises, and on-site parking is expected to be available for event guests. The capacity and any specific parking arrangements for large events such as weddings should be verified directly with the hotel, particularly for events with substantial guest counts where overflow parking may need to be planned in advance.

As an open-air venue in the Rau area, sound levels and curfew timings for music and DJ setups may be subject to local municipal guidelines. The hotel's events team will be best placed to advise on any noise restrictions, permitted hours for amplified sound, and the AV equipment available or permitted on the lawn. It is recommended that clients raise this during the initial enquiry, especially for late-evening events.

Papaya Tree Hotel is situated in Rau, a township located along the Indore–Bhopal highway corridor on the south-western edge of Indore city. The location offers good road connectivity to Indore and is accessible for guests arriving from across the metropolitan area, making it a practical choice for events drawing attendees from different parts of the city. For precise directions and the nearest landmarks, clients can refer to the hotel's official website at papayatreehotels.com or contact the property directly.

Papaya Tree Hotel, Rau is a hotel property and provides on-site guest rooms, which is a significant advantage for multi-day wedding celebrations or corporate events where out-of-town attendees need accommodation. This means guests, family members, or delegates can stay on the property itself, removing the need to coordinate transport between separate hotels and venue locations. Room availability and group booking rates should be confirmed with the hotel's reservations team in advance.

While the Celebrity Lawn is popular for weddings and social celebrations, its open-air format also makes it well suited to corporate occasions such as product launches, team offsites, and evening networking events. The outdoor setting can lend a distinctive atmosphere to corporate gatherings that would otherwise be held in standard conference or banquet rooms. Clients planning corporate events are encouraged to speak with the hotel's events team about AV capabilities, seating arrangements, and branding options on the lawn.

As an outdoor event space, the Celebrity Lawn can typically be equipped with sound systems, lighting rigs, projection screens, and stage setups to suit different event formats. The specific AV equipment available in-house, as well as any provisions for external technical vendors, should be discussed with the Papaya Tree Hotel events team during the planning stage. For large events, a technical site reconnaissance is advisable to assess power supply points and rigging possibilities.

Open-air lawn venues in Indore tend to be in high demand during the main wedding season, which typically runs from October through February, and popular dates can fill up months in advance. While specific booking lead times will depend on current availability, reserving the Celebrity Lawn at least six to nine months ahead of a peak-season wedding date is a prudent approach. Clients should contact the hotel's events team early to check availability and understand the booking confirmation process.

Pricing for events at the Celebrity Lawn will vary depending on the number of guests, the event duration, catering requirements, décor scope, and the specific date. The hotel's events team can provide a customised quote once they have details about the event format and scale. Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out through the official Papaya Tree Hotels website or by calling the property directly to initiate the enquiry.
