Tawan

Tawan is positioned within a tropical beachfront hotel, so its setup can incorporate both indoor and outdoor elements depending on the event format. Phuket experiences a monsoon season, so it is strongly recommended to discuss wet-weather contingency arrangements with the SAii Laguna Phuket events team when planning an outdoor ceremony or reception. The hotel's events staff are experienced in adapting layouts to suit changing conditions.

Capacity at Tawan varies depending on the event format and seating arrangement. Prospective clients are encouraged to contact the SAii Laguna Phuket events team directly for confirmed figures tailored to their specific event type and layout requirements.

Yes — Tawan means "sun" in Thai, a name that reflects the venue's beachfront tropical setting and the warm, light-filled atmosphere SAii Laguna Phuket aims to create for events held there. It also nods to the venue's location on the Andaman-facing coast of Phuket, where sunsets are a notable feature of the experience.

Yes, SAii Laguna Phuket sits within the Laguna Phuket integrated resort in Si Sunthon, Thalang District — one of the island's most established multi-hotel resort developments. This means event guests have access to a wide range of on-site dining, accommodation, spa, and leisure facilities across the broader complex, which is particularly convenient for multi-day events and incentive programmes.

SAii Laguna Phuket is located in the north of Phuket island in Thalang District, which places it relatively close to Phuket International Airport compared with venues further south on the island. The exact transfer time can vary depending on traffic and time of day, so it is worth confirming current estimates with the hotel when planning guest logistics.

Tawan and SAii Laguna Phuket are set up to host both the ceremony and reception as part of a complete destination wedding package. The hotel's dedicated weddings team handles coordination across all elements, from décor and catering to scheduling. SAii Laguna Phuket is a full-service hotel, so on-site guest rooms are available for event attendees. This makes it straightforward for event organisers to coordinate room blocks for larger groups.

SAii Laguna Phuket's events infrastructure typically supports AV and technical requirements for corporate and social events. The specifics of what is provided in-house versus what needs to be arranged with an external supplier should be confirmed with the events team during the planning process.

Tawan's location within the Laguna Phuket complex in Thalang District means international guests benefit from a relatively short transfer from Phuket International Airport in the north of the island. Once on-site, the self-contained nature of the resort means guests have dining, accommodation, spa, and leisure facilities within easy reach, reducing the need for off-site travel during a multi-day event or wedding celebration.
