Poolside Lawn

The Poolside Lawn is an open-air, outdoor event space situated alongside the resort's swimming pool. This makes it particularly atmospheric for evening events but also means it is weather-dependent. Prospective clients should ask the resort about weather contingency arrangements or temporary structure options in case of unseasonal rain.

The most popular event season for outdoor venues in Goa, including the Poolside Lawn, is generally from October through to March, when the weather is dry and pleasantly cool. The monsoon season, which typically runs from June to September, can bring heavy rainfall that may affect outdoor events. Guests planning events outside the peak season should check with the resort regarding feasibility and any protective arrangements available.

As an open-air lawn venue, the Poolside Lawn is subject to outdoor weather conditions. Whether temporary structures such as marquees, canopies, or shamianas can be erected on the lawn to provide cover should be confirmed with the Star Beach Resort events team, as structural permissions and available options may vary by event date and size.

Star Beach Resort is located in Calangute, one of Goa's most accessible and well-connected coastal areas. Calangute is reachable from Goa International Airport at Dabolim and the newer Mopa Greenfield Airport in North Goa by road. The resort's precise address and directions should be obtained from the property directly to share with event guests.

Calangute is served by two airports: Goa International Airport at Dabolim in South Goa and the Mopa Greenfield Airport in North Goa. North Goa's Mopa Airport is generally closer to Calangute, though travel times depend on traffic conditions. The resort can advise on estimated travel durations and recommended transport options for event guests.

Calangute Beach is located close to the resort, making it convenient for event guests who wish to enjoy the beachfront before or after their event. The broader North Goa coastal strip, including areas such as Baga, Candolim, and Anjuna, is also easily reachable by road. This gives destination event guests a range of leisure options during a multi-day stay.

Yes, the open-air lawn format allows for multiple setup configurations, including seated dining arrangements, cocktail-style receptions, and ceremony-plus-reception formats for weddings. The most suitable layout for a specific guest count and event programme should be discussed with the resort's events team during the planning stage.

Verified capacity figures for the Poolside Lawn at Star Beach Resort are not available from a confirmed public source. Star Beach Resort is a resort property, which typically means guest rooms or suites are available on-site, making it a practical choice for destination weddings and multi-day retreats where guests need to stay overnight. The number of rooms available, room types, and accommodation block-booking arrangements for event groups should be confirmed with the resort.

Resort properties commonly offer in-house catering managed by their own food and beverage team, which would cover menu planning, service, and bar arrangements for events at the Poolside Lawn. Whether external caterers are permitted is a policy detail that varies by property and should be clarified with Star Beach Resort before finalising any vendor arrangements.

Outdoor venues in Goa, including resort lawns, are subject to local noise regulations, which may include sound curfew timings. These rules can affect DJ performances, live music, and amplified audio at events. The Star Beach Resort events team will be able to advise on the applicable restrictions and how they are managed for poolside events.

Exact details about in-house décor packages, audiovisual equipment, and lighting infrastructure at the Poolside Lawn are best confirmed with the resort's events team, as offerings can vary by event type and budget. Many resort venues in Goa work with a network of preferred local vendors for floral décor, sound systems, and event lighting, and the team can typically assist with recommendations.

Resort properties generally provide on-site parking for guests and event attendees. The availability of dedicated event parking, any capacity limitations, and valet parking arrangements should be confirmed with Star Beach Resort when planning larger events where a significant number of guests will be driving to the venue.
