Pool side area

The Pool Side Area is an open-air, outdoor venue set within the grounds of Suryavilas Luxury Resort and Spa. The pool serves as a central visual feature, with the surrounding Shivalik Hills and resort gardens forming the natural backdrop. Guests should check with the events team about any temporary shelter or weather contingency options available for the space.

Specific capacity figures for the Pool Side Area have not been publicly confirmed by the resort. The events team at Suryavilas will be best placed to advise on the number of guests the space can comfortably accommodate based on the event format — whether seated dinner, standing cocktail, or ceremony layout.

Solan enjoys a relatively temperate hill-station climate, which makes the Pool Side Area usable across a good part of the year. However, weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh can vary by season, and the resort's events team should be consulted for advice on the most suitable months for an outdoor poolside event and what contingency arrangements may be available.

Yes, the Pool Side Area's setting — with the reflective pool, manicured resort gardens, and the forested Shivalik Hills as a backdrop — makes it a naturally photogenic location for wedding and event photography. The changing quality of light from afternoon through evening adds further variety for photographers. Couples are encouraged to discuss photography logistics, including access times, directly with the resort.

The open-air, festive character of the Pool Side Area makes it well suited to pre-wedding functions such as mehendi ceremonies, sangeet evenings, and cocktail receptions. The outdoor setting encourages a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere that complements these occasions. The resort's events team can help plan the layout and décor to suit the specific function.

Suryavilas Luxury Resort and Spa is a full-service luxury resort with in-house dining and hospitality infrastructure, so catering is generally expected to be handled by the resort. Specific menus, cuisine options, and whether outside catering vendors are permitted should be confirmed directly with the events team when discussing your booking.

Details of in-house décor packages and audio-visual equipment available for the Pool Side Area are best obtained directly from the resort's events team. Given the open-air nature of the space, the natural landscape of the Shivalik Hills and the poolside setting already provide a strong visual foundation that can be complemented with event-specific décor and lighting.

As the Pool Side Area is an open-air space in a hill-station resort, local guidelines or resort policies may govern amplified music and noise levels, particularly late into the evening. Event planners should discuss any such restrictions with the Suryavilas events team during the planning process to ensure the programme is scheduled appropriately.
