The Senate at UVA Meridian Bay Resort
The Senate is a dedicated event space within UVA Meridian Bay Resort, a coastal resort property situated in Koteshwara, Karnataka — a tranquil stretch of India's Konkan coastline. The space carries the considered, purposeful character its name suggests: a room designed for meaningful gatherings, whether that means a boardroom-style corporate conclave, a focused conference, or a social celebration that calls for an intimate, well-appointed setting. The interiors reflect the resort's broader aesthetic sensibility — a blend of coastal warmth and professional polish that sets an appropriate tone for both business and leisure events.
The Senate benefits from being embedded within a full-service resort environment, which means guests and delegates have access to the broader hospitality infrastructure of UVA Meridian Bay Resort without sacrificing the privacy and containment that a dedicated venue space provides. Natural light, attentive service, and the resort's seaside surroundings all contribute to an atmosphere that distinguishes The Senate from a generic conference or banquet room.
Events & Occasions
The Senate is well suited to a range of event formats. Corporate planners will find it appropriate for leadership conclaves, strategy workshops, board meetings, training sessions, and seminars where a focused and professional environment matters. The space equally accommodates social gatherings — milestone celebrations, intimate receptions, and pre-wedding functions — where the resort backdrop elevates the occasion.
Being part of a resort property also means event organisers can combine The Senate with other facilities on the grounds, creating multi-space event programmes that flow across indoor and outdoor settings. For corporate groups, this opens the door to residential retreats where team-building, recreational activities, and formal sessions coexist within one property. For social hosts, it means the celebration can extend well beyond the room itself, drawing on the resort's natural coastal setting.
The events team at UVA Meridian Bay Resort works with planners to customise arrangements to the specific requirements of each booking, from seating configuration and audio-visual setup to catering menus and décor.
