Opera Park

Opera Park is an open-air outdoor venue set within the UVA Meridian Convention Centre property in Koteshwara, Karnataka. This makes it distinctly different from the convention centre's enclosed banquet or conference halls. Events hosted here benefit from natural surroundings and open skies, which lend themselves well to evening celebrations and daytime outdoor gatherings.

As an open-air park venue, Opera Park is subject to weather conditions, so it is advisable to discuss contingency arrangements with the UVA Meridian events team before confirming a booking. The property is a full-service convention centre, so the availability of indoor spaces as a backup option is worth exploring directly with the venue. Planning events during Karnataka's dry season may also help mitigate weather-related concerns.

Opera Park sits within the larger UVA Meridian Convention Centre property, which offers both indoor and outdoor event spaces. This makes it possible to plan multi-segment events — such as an outdoor cocktail reception at Opera Park followed by an indoor formal dinner — within the same property. Organisers should check availability and combination packages directly with the venue's events team.

Specific capacity figures for Opera Park have not been independently confirmed and may vary depending on the event format, seating style, and setup requirements. It is recommended to contact the UVA Meridian Convention Centre directly to receive accurate capacity details tailored to your planned event type.

UVA Meridian Convention Centre is a full-service convention property, which typically includes catering support for events hosted across its venues. Whether in-house catering is provided exclusively or outside caterers are permitted at Opera Park should be confirmed with the events team, as policies can differ by event type and date.

Opera Park's open-air setting and its location within a full-service convention centre make it a strong candidate for destination weddings and multi-function wedding events. Couples can use the outdoor park for select ceremonies or evening receptions while leveraging the convention centre's additional spaces for other wedding functions. The team at UVA Meridian can advise on packages best suited to wedding programmes spanning multiple functions.

Event planners should ask UVA Meridian's events team about permissible sound levels and cut-off timings when planning celebrations with live music, DJs, or public address systems.

Whether UVA Meridian Convention Centre has on-site accommodation or works with partner hotels nearby for guest stays should be confirmed directly with the property. Enquiries about pricing, availability, and packages for Opera Park can be directed to UVA Meridian Convention Centre through their official website at uvameridian.com. Early enquiry is advisable, particularly for peak wedding and festive seasons in coastal Karnataka.

Opera Park's key distinction is that it combines the open-air ambience of a dedicated park setting with the professional support infrastructure of a full-service convention and exhibition centre. Most standalone lawns or garden venues lack the on-site coordination, catering depth, and adjacent indoor spaces that UVA Meridian can offer alongside Opera Park. This makes it a particularly practical choice for complex events that need both outdoor atmosphere and convention-grade logistics.
