Grand Ballroom

Yes, the Grand Ballroom and the broader Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela property are set up to host multiple wedding functions, from the main ceremony and banquet reception to pre-wedding events such as sangeet evenings. The hotel's full-service infrastructure allows families to manage catering, décor, and guest accommodation under one roof. The events team can advise on how to schedule and configure the space across different functions.

Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela is a full-service hotel with guest rooms available for attendees who need to stay overnight, which is particularly convenient for wedding parties and multi-day corporate events. Room block arrangements for event guests can typically be discussed with the hotel's reservations or events team. Availability and rates should be confirmed directly with the property for specific dates.

The Grand Ballroom is designed for large-format events, though exact seated and standing capacity figures should be confirmed directly with the Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela events team, as configurations vary depending on the event format, stage setup, and décor requirements. The events team can share floor plans and layout options to help planners assess how the space works for their specific guest count.

Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela, as a full-service five-star hotel, offers in-house catering services for events. Menus, cuisine styles, and service formats — such as plated dinners, buffets, or cocktail stations — can be discussed with the banqueting team. Specific menu options, dietary accommodations, and pricing should be confirmed with the hotel directly.

The Grand Ballroom is equipped with in-house audiovisual capabilities suited to corporate events such as product launches, conferences, and gala presentations. The events team can advise on available equipment including screens, projectors, sound systems, and lighting options. For events with specialist technical requirements, it is advisable to discuss needs in advance so the team can confirm what is available or can be arranged.

The ballroom's ambient lighting is designed to be adaptable, allowing the space to shift in character from a formal corporate setting to a warmly lit wedding banquet depending on how it is dressed and lit. Event planners and decorators can work with the hotel's events team to understand what customisation is permitted within the venue. Clients are advised to discuss specific décor requirements — including external decorator access — with the team during the planning stage.

Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela is located in the Shela neighbourhood on the south-western edge of Ahmedabad. It is conveniently placed for guests travelling from areas along the SG Highway corridor, including Satellite, Bopal, and surrounding western localities. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is also reachable from Shela, making the venue accessible for guests arriving by air.

The Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela property offers on-site parking, which is an important consideration for large ballroom events where guests typically arrive by private vehicle. The extent of parking capacity and any valet arrangements should be confirmed with the hotel's events team, particularly for events with a very large guest list.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is accessible from the Shela area of Ahmedabad, making it a practical option for guests flying in for weddings or corporate events. The precise travel time and distance can vary depending on traffic and route, so guests are advised to check current travel estimates when planning their arrival.

Shela is situated on the western periphery of Ahmedabad, away from the congested corridors of the older city centre, which generally makes road access more straightforward for guests arriving by car. This is a practical advantage for large evening events where parking and guest flow are important logistical considerations. That said, local traffic conditions can vary, and guests travelling from different parts of the city should plan their journey accordingly.

Prospective clients can reach out to the Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela events or banqueting team directly to check availability and request a quote for the Grand Ballroom. The team will typically ask for the event date, type of event, expected guest count, and any specific catering or setup requirements before providing a proposal. The hotel's official website at wyndhamhotels.com also provides contact details for enquiries.

Yes, the Grand Ballroom regularly hosts corporate events including product launches, annual general meetings, and leadership summits. The space's scale, in-house AV capabilities, and the hotel's professional events team make it a credible choice for organisations looking for a formal, well-serviced corporate venue in western Ahmedabad. Specific setup requirements and delegate packages can be discussed with the banqueting team.

Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela works with event organisers on vendor coordination as part of its events service. Whether external decorators, photographers, or entertainers are permitted, and under what conditions, is best confirmed with the hotel's events team during the planning stage. Policies on external vendors can vary depending on the type of service and the nature of the event.

The Grand Ballroom combines the scale required for large weddings and corporate gatherings with the internationally benchmarked service standards of the Wyndham brand. Its position in the fast-growing Shela neighbourhood gives it strong accessibility from Ahmedabad's western corridors, while the hotel's full-service infrastructure — including in-house catering, on-site accommodation, and a dedicated events team — means organisers can manage most event requirements through a single point of contact. The elegant interior design, with high ceilings and adaptable lighting, adds a sense of occasion that distinguishes it from more functional event halls.
