Tezpur's reception venue landscape brings together 2 well-equipped properties spanning a wide capacity range — from compact indoor spaces suited to 16 guests all the way to open-air venues that can host a gathering of 2,000. Both properties are concentrated in the city's Baruachuburi and Mahabhairab areas, making reception planning relatively straightforward for families across Tezpur and its surrounding districts.
The Venues on Offer
The two properties currently listed on Spalba are The Greenwood Tezpur and Cygnett Inn Imperial - Tezpur. Between them, they offer a diverse mix of event spaces — including the Gorh Banquet, Orang Banquet, Orang Lawn, Greenwood Boardrooms, Columbia, and Discussion halls. This variety means that whether you are hosting a seated dinner reception or a large open-air celebration, there is a format here to match your gathering.
Matching Capacity to Your Guest List
Capacity planning is where these venues show their range most clearly. With a floor of 16 and a ceiling of 2,000, the available stock covers nearly every reception scale. The typical usable range sits between 20 and 500 guests, and 4 of the listed spaces fall under the 200-guest mark — making them well-suited to close-knit family receptions. One space crosses the 600-guest threshold, offering room for a large, full-community celebration. When shortlisting, match your confirmed headcount to the specific hall or lawn rather than just the property — each venue houses multiple spaces with distinct capacities.
Where Venues Are Located
Reception venues in Tezpur are currently found in two localities: Baruachuburi and Mahabhairab. Both areas are accessible from the town centre and from the National Highway corridor that connects Tezpur to Guwahati, which is a practical consideration if guests are travelling from outside the city.
What a Reception Venue Is For
A reception is typically the largest, most guest-inclusive event in the wedding calendar — a post-wedding celebration where families and extended social circles come together. Choosing a venue that can comfortably seat your full guest list, with appropriate indoor or outdoor space, is the primary requirement. The Spalba platform allows you to take a 3D virtual tour of shortlisted venues before committing, which can help you assess the layout and ambience remotely.
Planning the Rest of Your Wedding Events
A reception is one part of a broader wedding programme. For the ceremony itself, browse wedding venues in Tezpur. For pre-wedding functions, Spalba also lists options under engagement hall, sangeet venues, and mehndi venues — each category is curated separately to help you find the right fit for every occasion.
