Varkala's inventory of standalone banquet halls currently stands at 2 venues, concentrated across two distinct pockets of the town — the cliff-top locality of North Cliff and the quieter coastal neighbourhood of Edava. Both halls are enclosed, multipurpose spaces suited to structured events, giving organisers a focused set of options in this coastal Kerala destination.
The Venues Available
The two banquet halls in Varkala are hosted within resort properties that offer dedicated enclosed event spaces. Sunview Beach Resort & Spa by Citrine and B'Canti Boutique Beach Resort each provide a standalone banquet hall setting, combining a seaside location with an indoor, controlled event environment. Both fall squarely within the Banquet Hall venue type — enclosed, purpose-configured spaces rather than open lawns or rooftop terraces. Spalba's 3D virtual tours let you inspect the layout of each hall before making contact.
Capacity at a Glance
Both halls in Varkala support a capacity of up to 50 guests, placing them firmly in the intimate-event range. If you are planning a small wedding reception, a family function, a corporate offsite session, or a private celebration for up to 50 attendees, this stock is a practical match. There are no large-format halls (600+ capacity) currently listed in this category for Varkala, so organisers requiring significantly higher headcounts should plan accordingly.
Where the Halls Are Located
Varkala's banquet hall options are spread across two localities. North Cliff is the town's most prominent tourist and commercial strip, positioned along the clifftop overlooking the Arabian Sea — making venues here easily accessible for guests staying in the area. Edava, situated further along the coastline, offers a more secluded setting. Depending on where your guests will be based, either locality presents a reasonable event base within the Varkala circuit.
Related Event Spaces to Consider
A standalone banquet hall may not be the only format that suits your event. If you need accommodation alongside your event space, exploring hotels with banquet halls in Varkala will show you properties where both are bundled together. For very small gatherings where a full banquet hall may feel oversized, small party halls in Varkala is the right category to check next.
