Varkala's hotel banquet landscape is intimate by design — the platform currently lists 2 properties that combine in-house banquet hall facilities with hotel accommodation, both positioned along the coastal belt. With venues spread across the North Cliff and Edava localities, this small but focused selection suits event hosts who want a self-contained setup where guests can gather, celebrate, and stay without leaving the property.
The Venues on Spalba
The two hotels listed represent Varkala's beachside resort character well. Sunview Beach Resort & Spa by Citrine sits within the North Cliff area, pairing resort-style accommodation with a dedicated banquet hall. B'Canti Boutique Beach Resort, located in the Edava stretch, offers a boutique setting where the banquet facility is embedded within the resort experience. Both are classified under the Banquet Hall venue type, providing structured indoor event spaces alongside the property's hospitality services.
Capacity and Group Size
Both hotels in this listing accommodate up to 50 guests, making the available stock well-suited to intimate gatherings — think curated family celebrations, small wedding receptions, corporate off-sites, or milestone events where closeness matters more than scale. If your guest count sits comfortably around 50, either property can handle the event without requiring external arrangements. There are currently no large-format banquet venues (600+ capacity) in this category in Varkala, so hosts expecting significantly larger groups should explore alternative options.
Where These Venues Sit in Varkala
The two localities represented here — North Cliff and Edava — reflect Varkala's event geography. North Cliff is the town's most prominent stretch, close to the cliffside walkway and well-connected for out-of-town guests. Edava, slightly to the south, offers a quieter coastal setting that works well for groups seeking fewer distractions. Both localities give attendees easy access to Varkala's coastline, which can add an informal outdoor dimension to an event built around a hotel banquet hall. Spalba's 3D virtual tours let you inspect each venue's hall layout and surroundings before committing.
