Convocation Venues in Kozhikode

Kozhikode lists 8 venues suited to formal academic graduation ceremonies, spread across key localities from Vellayil on the coast to Palayam and Karaparamba inland. The stock spans hotel banquet halls, heritage properties, and named event spaces — giving institutions a genuine range of settings to match the occasion, the audience size, and the degree of formality required.

The Venues Available

The lineup includes well-known city hospitality properties alongside more intimate options. The Gateway Hotel Calicut and The Raviz Calicut are among the larger hotel-based options, each offering dedicated event spaces. Fortune Park Calicut Calicut and Keys Select By Lemon Tree Hotels, Malabar Gate, Kozhikode bring structured banquet infrastructure suited to staged ceremonies. For institutions seeking a distinct character, Neelagiri Heritage and Dimora, Kozhikode offer heritage and boutique settings. Hotel Ashirvad Lawns and Hotel Thushara International round out the list with lawn and banquet hall combinations. Named event spaces across these properties include Vasco Da Gama, Beypore Hall, The Empire, and The Senate — halls that carry a formal tone appropriate for degree ceremonies.

Matching Capacity to Your Cohort

Capacities across this set run from 8 to 900 guests. The majority of spaces — 12 out of the listed configurations — accommodate under 200 attendees, making them well-suited to department-level convocations, diploma ceremonies, or smaller graduating batches. Only one configuration stretches beyond 600, which is relevant for university-wide or multi-department events. The typical working range across these venues sits between 50 and 200 guests, so institutions with mid-sized cohorts will find the most options available. Spalba's 3D virtual tours allow academic coordinators to inspect hall layouts and stage configurations before committing to a site visit.

Where Venues Are Located

Karaparamba, Palayam, and Ashokapuram provide central options accessible from multiple parts of the city. Ram Mohan Road and Ummalathoor extend the choice further, which can be useful for institutions based on the city's outskirts or for attendees travelling from neighbouring towns.
