Thekkady's enclosed event spaces bring together the lushness of a forest-edge destination with the assurance of a weather-proof setting. Spalba currently lists 3 indoor venues in Thekkady, with capacities ranging from 120 to 500 guests — a range well-suited to mid-sized corporate gatherings, family celebrations, and resort-based events nestled in the Cardamom Hills. The venues are distributed across two distinct localities, Kumily and Vandanmedu, giving planners a practical choice of base.

The Venues on the Shortlist

All three properties offer their own character within an indoor setting. Citrus Thekkady Wild Corridor brings a nature-immersed feel without stepping outdoors, while Carmelia Haven pairs plantation surroundings with enclosed event infrastructure. Cardamom County rounds out the mix with versatile indoor spaces typical of a full-service resort property. Across these three, the venue types present include a Citron space, a Conference Hall, and a Lawn — meaning the indoor offering can anchor varied event formats from formal meets to social functions.

Matching Capacity to Your Guest List

With a capacity range of 120 to 500 guests, these indoor venues are squarely positioned for mid-scale events. Two of the three venues are best suited to gatherings under 200, making them a natural fit for intimate retreats, leadership off-sites, or smaller social occasions where a close-knit atmosphere matters. For events pushing toward the 500-guest mark, the full capacity ceiling of this set still accommodates a respectably large function. No venue in the current Thekkady indoor listing exceeds 600, so planners expecting very large assemblies should plan accordingly.

Where Venues Are Located

The indoor venues in Thekkady are concentrated in two areas: Kumily and Vandanmedu. Kumily, the more commercially connected of the two, is a logical base for groups arriving from Kochi or Madurai who need straightforward access. Vandanmedu, set deeper in the spice-growing belt, suits planners seeking a more secluded setting. Both localities place guests within reach of the Periyar ecosystem, which adds an experiential dimension to any multi-day event programme.

Staying in the Right Category

Indoor venues, as listed here, are enclosed, climate-controlled spaces. If your event specifically calls for a banquet-style dining setup, banquet halls in Thekkady are the more focused category. For structured presentations or large-format gatherings, consider auditoriums. Smaller boardroom-style formats are better served by conference rooms. And if an open-air Thekkady setting is the draw, outdoor venues lists spaces designed for exactly that.
