The stock spans hotel lawns, open-air banquet grounds, and seafront event spaces, concentrated most densely along Sea Beach, CT Road, and Chakra Tirtha Road. Whether you are organising a beachside wedding ceremony, a social celebration under the open sky, or a corporate gathering with the sea breeze as backdrop, the city's outdoor inventory covers a wide range of group sizes and settings.

The Venue Mix Across Puri

The 15 properties on Spalba include a varied cross-section of venue types. Mirani Resorts and The Chariot Resort & Spa offer resort-style open-air spaces that make full use of Puri's coastal character. Mayfair Heritage, Puri brings a heritage-property sensibility to its outdoor settings, while Hotel Naren Palace and Holiday Resort provide more versatile open-ground options. Among named venue types, the HARBOUR and RIPPLES spaces offer distinctly waterside open-air settings, alongside banquet halls that extend outdoors and conference-adjacent lawns. This mix means you are not restricted to a single format when planning an open-air event in Puri.

Matching Capacity to Your Event

Outdoor venues in Puri span a significant range — from intimate gatherings of 15 guests up to large celebrations accommodating 2,000. The typical outdoor space in the city comfortably seats between 80 and 250 guests, which suits mid-sized weddings, milestone birthdays, and corporate offsites alike. Of the 24 spaces tracked across properties, 21 fall under the 200-guest mark, making the city particularly well-stocked for smaller and moderately sized events. Three spaces cross the 600-guest threshold, covering large receptions and multi-function occasions. Hotel Sambit International, Hotel Vijoya International, and Hotel Shakti International are worth exploring for events that require the larger end of this range.

Where Venues Cluster in Puri

Location matters considerably in Puri, where the outdoor experience is closely tied to proximity to the sea. The heaviest concentration of outdoor venues sits along Sea Beach, CT Road, and Chakra Tirtha Road — all within easy reach of Jagannath Temple and the main visitor belt. VIP Road and Baliapanda offer slightly more sheltered settings, while Sipasarubili provides options a little further from the beach crowd. Depending on your guest profile and the ambience you are after, the locality choice alone shapes much of the event experience.

What Falls Outside This Category

If your event needs an enclosed hall or air-conditioned conference room, indoor venues in Puri will serve better. For estate-style open settings with greater privacy, browse farmhouses. Properties with integrated room blocks and recreational facilities are listed under resorts, and for multi-day celebrations that treat Puri as a destination in itself, destination wedding venues cover that need specifically.
