Private Party Venues in Chilika

Chilika's private party venue landscape is anchored by a lakeside resort setting that makes exclusive-use bookings genuinely distinctive. Currently, Spalba lists 1 property for private party hire in Chilika — Swosti Chilika Resort — offering multiple dedicated event spaces, with capacities running from 25 guests at the intimate end to 500 at full scale. For anyone planning an exclusive gathering against the backdrop of Chilika Lake, this is where to start.

The Venue and Its Spaces

Swosti Chilika Resort, located in Odia Alapur, is the primary destination for private party bookings in the area. What makes it well-suited for exclusive-use events is the breadth of its in-house spaces: the Ektara Lawn, Tanger Lawn, and Shehnai Lawn for open-air gatherings, and indoor halls including Maple 1, Mahogany, and Chestnut for climate-controlled settings. The ability to choose among six distinct venue types within a single property means you can match the ambience of the space to the character of your event — from an intimate indoor dinner to a sprawling lakeside celebration.

Capacity: Finding the Right Fit

The capacity range at Swosti Chilika Resort is notably wide. The typical event configurations seat between 70 and 260 guests, which covers most private parties comfortably. Smaller gatherings of around 25 can be accommodated in the more compact indoor halls, while the resort's lawn spaces can scale up to 500 guests for larger celebrations. Three of the available spaces fall into the intimate-under-200 bracket, making this property particularly well-stocked for mid-sized private events rather than very large assemblies.

Where Venues Are Located

All currently listed private party venues in Chilika are situated in Odia Alapur — the lakeside locality that places guests close to Chilika Lake's scenic surroundings. For planners travelling from Bhubaneswar or Puri, Odia Alapur is accessible and offers the added draw of a natural setting that few urban venues can replicate.
