The Poolside Lawns at Cidade de Goa – IHCL SeleQtions offer an open-air event setting that captures everything distinctive about hosting a celebration in Goa. Positioned within the resort's sprawling grounds overlooking Vainguinim Beach, this outdoor venue blends the natural beauty of the Goan coastline with the polish and reliability of an IHCL SeleQtions property. The lawns carry the relaxed, sun-warmed energy that Goa is known for, while the resort's professional events infrastructure ensures every gathering runs with precision. Whether the occasion is intimate or grand, the setting brings a sense of occasion that a ballroom simply cannot replicate — sea breezes, open skies, and the gentle sound of the Arabian Sea in the background.
The Poolside Lawns are well suited to a wide range of social and corporate events. Goa weddings are among the most popular occasions hosted here, and the outdoor setting lends itself naturally to beachside sangeets, mehendi ceremonies, cocktail evenings, and reception dinners where the evening sky becomes part of the décor. Corporate teams also find the lawns useful for product launches, networking sundowners, and team-building events that benefit from an open, relaxed atmosphere away from a conventional conference room. Social occasions — milestone birthday parties, anniversary dinners, and festive celebrations — all translate beautifully to this format, particularly in Goa's dry season when the weather is consistently clear and pleasant. The lawn's proximity to the pool adds a resort-lifestyle dimension that is difficult to find in urban venues, giving guests a sense of a full experience rather than just an event.
Vainguinim Beach is located in the Dona Paula area of Panaji, placing Cidade de Goa – IHCL SeleQtions within easy reach of Goa's capital city while still maintaining the seclusion and calm of a private beachfront resort. Guests travelling from Dabolim Airport or the newer Manohar International Airport at Mopa have straightforward road access to the property. The resort itself is a landmark in Goa's hospitality landscape — a recognisable Portuguese-inspired architectural presence on the Vainguinim coastline that has hosted events for decades.
Choosing the Poolside Lawns means access to IHCL SeleQtions' full events ecosystem: experienced banqueting and catering teams, in-house audio-visual support, décor coordination, and the ability to accommodate residential guests in the resort's rooms, so outstation attendees and wedding parties can stay on-site. Catering draws on the resort's culinary reputation, with menus that can reflect Goan, Indian, and international cuisines. For event planners who need a venue that handles both the logistical and experiential sides of a large occasion — particularly one with a coastal, destination-event feel — the Poolside Lawns represent one of Goa's most established open-air options, backed by the trust and standards of the IHCL group.
