The name "Antica" is derived from the Italian word meaning "ancient" or "classic," which reflects the refined and timeless aesthetic character of the ballroom. This naming choice aligns with the overall heritage identity of Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, a property with a long history on the Singapore hospitality scene. The name signals a space designed for formal, elegant occasions rather than a purely contemporary setting.

Orchard Rendezvous Hotel was originally known as Hotel Negara and has a longstanding history as part of Singapore's hospitality landscape. This heritage gives the property — and by extension the Antica Ballroom — a sense of place and character that distinguishes it from newer purpose-built event venues along Orchard Road. Further historical details about the property can be found on the hotel's official website.

The Antica Ballroom's flexible floor plan and AV support make it a practical choice for corporate events such as conferences, seminars, product launches, and award ceremonies, in addition to social celebrations. The hotel's events team is experienced in managing the logistics of corporate events, from room setup to catering coordination. Organisers planning a corporate event should contact the hotel to discuss specific requirements and available packages.

The Tanglin end of Orchard Road offers a slightly quieter and more refined setting than the busier retail-heavy stretch closer to Dhoby Ghaut, while still keeping guests within easy reach of restaurants, retail, and amenities. This balance of accessibility and relative calm can be appealing for formal events such as gala dinners or weddings where a more composed environment is preferred. Guests still benefit from the prestige and connectivity associated with the broader Orchard Road address.

Enquiries about availability, pricing, and event packages for the Antica Ballroom can be directed to the events team at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel through the official website at rendezvoushotels.com or by contacting the hotel directly. Providing details such as the event date, expected number of guests, event type, and preferred setup will help the team prepare a tailored proposal. Early enquiry is recommended for popular dates such as weekends and public holidays.

Many hotel ballrooms in Singapore, including those with in-house event services, accommodate external décor vendors and event stylists subject to coordination with the venue's events team. Whether the Antica Ballroom permits outside decorators and any associated conditions or fees should be confirmed directly with Orchard Rendezvous Hotel when finalising event arrangements. Discussing this early in the planning process helps avoid any last-minute complications.
