Wayanad offers 5 sangeet venues spread across the district's verdant hills and resort belts — from intimate forest-retreat settings to a property that can host up to 750 guests. The stock leans heavily towards resort-based spaces, with open lawns, rooftop banquet halls, and dedicated event halls appearing across localities such as Lakkidi, Kalpetta, and Manjoora. For a celebration built around music, dance, and live performance in a natural highland setting, this is a distinct and characterful shortlist.
The Venue Mix Across Wayanad
The five properties on Spalba each bring a different setup to a sangeet evening. Arayal Resort-A Unit of Sharoy Resort features the Arayal Lawn, well-suited to outdoor performances under an open sky. Oshin Wayanad gives planners a choice between the Oshin Rooftop Banquet on the 5th Floor and the Oshin Banquet Hall on the ground floor — two distinct moods within the same property. For those drawn to a flagship resort name, Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa Kerala hosts the Silver Oak 1 and Southern Spice event spaces, while Feel Free Retreat by Dimora, Wayanad and Abad Brookside Lakkidi, Wayanad round out the list with their own resort event setups. An Open Air Theater is also among the venue types present in this city, making Wayanad genuinely suited to performance-led sangeet evenings.
Matching Guest Count to the Right Space
Capacity across Wayanad's sangeet venues runs from as few as 16 guests to a maximum of 750 — a wider range than many hill-district markets offer. That said, the most common configuration sits in the 80–160 guest band, reflecting the resort-scale nature of the majority of available spaces. Of the 10 individual spaces counted, 10 accommodate under 200 guests, while 1 can seat or stage events for over 600. Families planning a mid-sized sangeet of 100–150 guests will find multiple suitable options; those needing a larger hall should focus specifically on the high-capacity end of the Taj Wayanad property.
Where Venues Are Located
Wayanad's sangeet venues are spread across several distinct localities. Manjoora and Lakkidi represent the hillside resort corridor, while Madathumpadi in Kalpetta sits closer to the town centre. Thariyode and Kavumannam add further reach into the district's more secluded resort zones. This spread means the venue you choose will also shape the overall travel and stay experience for out-of-town guests, so it is worth mapping the locality against your guest group's base before shortlisting. Spalba's 3D virtual tours can help you assess a space's layout and atmosphere before making a site visit.
Planning the Rest of Your Wedding Events
The sangeet is one evening in a broader celebration. For the mehndi ceremony, explore mehndi venues in Wayanad. When it comes to the formal ceremony itself, wedding venues and reception venues have their own dedicated listings, as does the engagement hall category — each curated separately so you can match the right space to each function.
