Anniversary Party Venues in Shillong

Shillong has 5 dedicated anniversary party venues listed on Spalba, spanning the city centre near Police Bazar to the serene lakeside stretch of Umiam. The mix includes full-service hotel properties, a farmhouse setting, and spaces that range from intimate boardrooms to open lawns and ballrooms — making it genuinely possible to match the venue to the scale and mood of the milestone you are celebrating.

The Venues Available in Shillong

The current stock brings together notably distinct properties. Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong and Courtyard by Marriott Shillong offer structured banquet and ballroom spaces — the latter housing the Umiam Ballroom and a dedicated Nohkalikai hall. Woodstock Farmhouse, Shillong provides the Woodstock Banquet Hall alongside an outdoor Lawn, ideal for couples who want a more relaxed, green-canopy atmosphere. Courtyard Shillong and La Nicholas - Lake View (by Summit Hotels), Shillong round out the list — the latter sitting with lake views that lend a naturally celebratory backdrop to any anniversary gathering. Venue types across the set include a Pavilion Hall, The Den Board Room, Lawn, and multiple named banquet and ballroom spaces.

Matching Capacity to Your Celebration

With a capacity range of 10 to 500 guests across these venues, Shillong's anniversary spaces serve everything from a quiet dinner for ten to a landmark celebration of several hundred. The typical working range across these properties sits at 50–190 guests, which suits a broad sweep of anniversary formats — a close family gathering or a larger milestone event with friends and extended family alike. All 5 venues are in the intimate-under-200 segment, so every space on this list is designed with an atmosphere that centres the couple rather than the crowd. If you are planning a very small gathering of under 30, it is worth reviewing the specific room configurations each property offers, as several venues — particularly those with boardroom-style spaces like The Den Board Room — are well-suited to that scale.

Where These Venues Are Located

The three key localities covered by this set are Police Bazar (Shillong's busy commercial heart), Umsaw, and Umiam. The Umiam area, on the edge of the Umiam Lake reservoir, gives anniversary celebrations an especially scenic setting that is difficult to replicate in a purely urban venue. Police Bazar properties benefit from ease of access for guests travelling from across the city, while properties in Umsaw and Umiam offer a quieter, more resort-like experience that many couples prefer for milestone events.
