Party Halls in Shillong

Shillong has 5 party halls listed on Spalba, spanning the city's key neighbourhoods — from the commercial heart of Police Bazar to the scenic lakeside stretches of Umsaw and Umiam. The mix spans hotel banquet halls, open lawns, and intimate boardroom-style spaces, making it one of the more varied selections available for a general seated social celebration in the North East.

The Venues on Offer

The current listings cover a genuinely diverse range of setups. Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong offers the Pavillion Hall and The Den Board Room for different scales of gathering. Woodstock Farmhouse, Shillong brings a Lawn and Woodstock Banquet Hall into the mix — well suited to those who want an outdoor or semi-outdoor feel. At the hotel end, Courtyard by Marriott Shillong and Courtyard Shillong provide the Umiam Ballroom, while La Nicholas - Lake View (by Summit Hotels), Shillong features the Nohkalikai space with its distinctive lake-facing setting.

Capacity Across Shillong's Party Halls

Shillong's party halls collectively accommodate between 10 and 500 guests, with most spaces falling in the 50–190 range — a sweet spot for family get-togethers, reunion dinners, and mid-sized social celebrations. All 15 spaces in the listing sit under the 200-guest mark, and none scale beyond 600, so this is a city where intimate-to-medium gatherings are very well served. If your guest list sits comfortably between 50 and 190, you will find the largest selection of viable halls here; for very small groups of 10–30, the boardroom and compact banquet options at Hotel Polo Towers are worth a close look.

Where the Venues Are Located

The three main clusters are Police Bazar, Umsaw, and Umiam. Police Bazar — Shillong's central commercial hub — provides the most accessible options for guests travelling from across the city. Umsaw and Umiam, situated near the Umiam Lake corridor, are better suited to celebrations where the natural surroundings are part of the experience; La Nicholas - Lake View and the Courtyard properties are positioned in this belt. Choosing a locality first can meaningfully narrow down your shortlist, especially when guests are arriving from different parts of Meghalaya.
