POLARIS BALLROOM

Yes, the Polaris Ballroom features a pillarless design, which means there are no structural columns interrupting the floor space. This gives every guest an unobstructed view of the stage, couple, or presenter, and gives event designers more freedom when planning décor, seating arrangements, and stage placement.

Novotel Singapore on Stevens operates an in-house catering team with a full production kitchen, capable of delivering both Chinese-style banquet menus and Western set or buffet formats. Couples hosting wedding banquets can work with the culinary team to develop customised menus, while corporate clients can choose from cocktail receptions through to formal sit-down dinners. Whether outside caterers are permitted should be confirmed directly with the hotel's events team.

Yes, the ballroom is frequently used for wedding banquets, including traditional Chinese-style ten-course banquet formats. The pillarless floor plan ensures all guests have a clear view of the couple, and the in-house culinary team is experienced in delivering Chinese banquet menus. Prospective couples are encouraged to meet with the events team to discuss menu customisation and table arrangements.

The Polaris Ballroom is equipped with AV infrastructure to support events such as conferences, product launches, and awards ceremonies. Specific equipment details — including screen sizes, sound systems, and available technical support — should be confirmed with the hotel's events team when submitting an enquiry, as configurations may vary by event type.

Stevens MRT station, which is served by both the Downtown Line and the Thomson–East Coast Line, is located close to the hotel, making the Polaris Ballroom accessible for guests travelling without private transport. Taxis and private-hire vehicles can also reach the hotel easily given its location within Singapore's well-connected Orchard–Tanglin corridor.

The hotel provides on-site car parking for guests attending events at the Polaris Ballroom. For large events where parking demand may be high, it is advisable to check availability and any parking validation arrangements with the events team in advance.

The ballroom sits within the Stevens neighbourhood, part of Singapore's Orchard–Tanglin corridor, which has a quieter and more residential character than the main Orchard Road stretch while still being close to it. This setting suits events that benefit from a refined, less congested environment while remaining centrally accessible.

Novotel Singapore on Stevens is a full-service hotel with guest rooms on-site, meaning international or out-of-town attendees can stay at the property itself. This simplifies logistics for multi-day conferences, corporate retreats, or destination weddings with guests flying in from abroad. Room block arrangements for groups should be discussed with the hotel's events or reservations team.

Beyond traditional seated banquets, the ballroom can be configured for cocktail receptions, standing networking events, theatre-style conferences, and product unveiling setups. The pillarless layout gives event planners flexibility in arranging furniture, staging, and flow to suit different formats. The events team can walk clients through floor-plan options during the enquiry process.

Yes, Novotel Singapore on Stevens is part of the Accor hotel group and operates under the Novotel four-star brand. This means Accor loyalty members may be able to earn or redeem points associated with their membership when booking events or accommodation, though the specific terms should be verified with Accor directly.

Enquiries for the Polaris Ballroom can be submitted through the hotel's official events or meetings enquiry channels on the Accor website or by contacting the hotel's dedicated events team directly. It is helpful to have an estimated guest count, preferred event date, and event type ready when making initial contact to receive the most relevant proposal.

The ballroom's high ceilings and pillarless design make it practical for staging and elevated lighting rigs, which are commonly required for corporate events such as annual dinners, awards ceremonies, and product launches. Technical specifications for rigging points and load capacities should be confirmed with the hotel's events team and any appointed production company before finalising installation plans.

Novotel Singapore on Stevens has a dedicated events team that works with clients from initial enquiry through to the day of the event itself, coordinating room configuration, catering, AV requirements, and other logistics. Having a single point of contact within the hotel is particularly useful for complex events involving multiple vendors or a tight production schedule.

Booking and cancellation policies for the Polaris Ballroom are set by the hotel and may vary depending on the event size, date, and contract terms agreed at the time of booking. Clients are advised to review the terms carefully with the events team before signing any agreement, as conditions around deposits and cancellation timelines are specific to each booking.
