The Poolside Gazebo is an open-air venue set alongside the hotel's outdoor pool. Its al fresco format makes it ideal for events where guests can enjoy a natural, airy atmosphere rather than a conventional indoor banquet setting.

As an open-air venue, the Poolside Gazebo is subject to weather conditions. The Crown is an established hotel property, so alternative or contingency indoor spaces may be available in the event of rain or adverse weather. Clients are advised to discuss weather contingency arrangements with the events team at the time of booking.

As an IHCL SeleQtions property, The Crown offers hotel-grade in-house catering and hospitality services to support events held at the Poolside Gazebo. Specific menu options, cuisine styles, and beverage packages can be customised based on the event. The events team can provide full details of available catering arrangements.

Policies on external catering vary by property and event type. As The Crown operates its own professional kitchen and catering team, the default arrangement is in-house catering. Whether outside food vendors are permitted should be confirmed directly with the hotel's events team before making any third-party arrangements.

The Crown's events team can assist with décor arrangements and is likely to have tie-ups with décor vendors, but specific AV equipment availability and in-house décor packages for the Poolside Gazebo should be confirmed with the hotel. Given its open-air nature, setup requirements such as lighting, sound systems, and staging may need tailored planning for this space.

Open-air event spaces within hotel properties are generally subject to local municipal noise regulations, which in Bhubaneswar typically include guidelines on sound levels and event timings. Specific curfew timings and permissible decibel levels for the Poolside Gazebo should be confirmed with The Crown's events team, as these can affect DJ performances and live music arrangements.

The Crown is located in Nayapalli, one of Bhubaneswar's established and centrally positioned neighbourhoods, making it accessible from across the city. Bhubaneswar is served by Biju Patnaik International Airport, and guests travelling from outside the city can reach the hotel with relative ease. Yes, as a full-service hotel under the IHCL SeleQtions collection, The Crown, Bhubaneswar has on-site guest rooms, which is a significant advantage for multi-day events or functions where out-of-town guests need accommodation. Room block arrangements for event groups can be discussed with the hotel's reservations and events teams.

Unlike the hotel's indoor banquet or conference facilities, the Poolside Gazebo offers an open-air setting beside the property's outdoor pool, creating an atmosphere that is relaxed and scenic rather than formal. This makes it a distinctive choice for occasions — such as cocktail receptions, pre-wedding functions, or sundowner events — where the outdoor ambience is a key part of the guest experience.

Enquiries about availability and pricing for the Poolside Gazebo can be directed to The Crown's events or banqueting team through the hotel's official website at seleqtionshotels.com or by contacting the property directly. It is advisable to reach out well in advance, especially for peak wedding and festive seasons in Odisha.

The open-air, poolside setting of the Poolside Gazebo makes it a popular consideration for pre-wedding functions like mehendi, sangeet, or cocktail evenings, where an informal, celebratory atmosphere is desirable. The Crown's event planning team can help design a setup appropriate to the occasion, including décor, catering, and entertainment arrangements. Specific logistics should be discussed directly with the hotel.

IHCL SeleQtions is a Taj Hotels collection that brings together properties recognised for their distinct character and high hospitality standards. Events at the Poolside Gazebo benefit from The Crown's affiliation with this collection, meaning professional event coordination, trained staff, and hotel-grade catering and service are part of every booking. This operational backbone is one of the key advantages of choosing a hotel-based open-air venue over a standalone outdoor space.
