Citrus

Citrus

Citrus our all-day-long restaurant has a plethora of cuisines that will leave you spoilt for choice. Line up for a nutritious and filling breakfast, comprising European and Indian fares. Choose a platter of steak and eggs or brioche French toast, or a lighter South Indian breakfast of appam served with lamb stew. Make the most of flavours from our appetiser platters: char-grilled jumbo asparagus with a dressing of truffles, pine nuts and parmesan, served with crispy fried egg on the side. Choose from our stable of gourmet wood fired pizza, including quattro formaggi, citrus rustica or the classic, chicken pizza.

For the main course, head to our Asian corner and get a bowl of wok-fried morning glory or ask the chef for roti canai, an assortment of chicken, potato and egg plant in thick spicy coconut gravy. Or you can go for chicken tikka masala, loved the world over or the rogan-e-nishant, a spicy goodness of lamb chops and cubes in onions, tomato, yoghurt and Kashmiri chilli.

To bring an apt ending to the explosion of flavours from across the world, choose from a list of classic sundaes or homemade sorbets or just some classic Indian desserts - hot jalebis and phirni. Better still, try something new—omali, a baked Egyptian dessert.

Jamavar

Named after the intricate brocades of Kashmir, and reinforcing our ideology of Atithi Devo Bhava, Jamavar invites you to experience a mélange of flavours.

Enjoy the aromas of a royal meal in a dramatic ambience that is adorned with intricate Jamavar wall paintings with pure gold leaf and vegetable dyes and the decorative Jamavar shawls even as you admire our lavish silver table settings replete with hand-carved screens and flower-laden urli with floating candles.

Sit back and surrender to the gastronomic temptations of the traditional cuisines that were once feasted by the Maharajas and Nawabs.

From the coasts of Kerala to the gardens of Kashmir, our MasterChef’s invite you to savour the house specialties such as raan-e-jamavar, leg of lamb marinated in nutmeg and spices or the lobster neeruli, a coastal delicacy originating in Mangalore made with shallots and tomatoes.

Dine at Jamavar, where authenticity is an integral part of quality.

Art Walk at the Palace

Art Walk at the Palace

Inspired by the towering presence of the Royal Palace of Mysore, The Leela Palace Bengaluru brings together traditional as well as contemporary elements in its art-deco induced architectural style. Adorned with copper domes, arches and ornate ceilings, this property perfectly reflects the grandeur of palaces belonging to a bygone era.

Influenced by the mythical creature of ancient India, the hotel has many nuances of medieval creatures decorating it. Yali, which is said to be part lion, part elephant and part horse is said to inspire the art and sculptures on the pillars, reminiscent of South Indian temples dating all the way back to the 16th century. One can even spot the Leogryph, which is said to be half lion and half griffin, which acts as a perfect reminder of the times that were, while you meander through the gardens of the Palace.

The Bangalore Palace

The Bangalore Palace

Owned by the Maharajahs of Mysore the construction of this architectural marvel was started in 1862 and completed in 1944 and it spans over 45,000 sq ft.. The Palace, steeped as it is in history, is evocative of the opulence of an era long gone when royalty was a way of life. Two rooms that deserve special mention are the Ballroom on the ground floor and the Durbar Hall on the first floor where the Maharaja addressed the assembly. The Ballroom is grand -from its polished teak floor that came from the forests of Burma to the cut-glass chandeliers. The Palace gardens were designed by famed German botanist Gustav Krumbiegel- plants were chosen carefully to ensure that there was color all through the year.
