Purana Qila (“Old Fort”) stands on an ancient mound. It is the site where Humayun, the second Mughal emperor, began construction of his city, Dinpanah. The site has been continuously occupied since 1000 B.C. and offers a full day’s worth of sightseeing and education about Delhi’s rich history.
