Front Lawn

Yes, the Front Lawn's open-air setting and the resort's on-site accommodation make it well suited to multi-day wedding celebrations spanning ceremonies like the mehendi, sangeet, and reception. Having guest rooms, catering, and event space all within the same property simplifies logistics for families hosting destination-style weddings. The events team can advise on scheduling multiple functions across the lawn and other available spaces on the property.

The resort is located in Shirakol, on the outskirts of Kolkata in West Bengal, and offers a greener, quieter setting compared to the city centre. Guests travelling from central Kolkata reach the property via the southwestern corridor. Exact travel time varies based on the point of origin and traffic conditions, so it is advisable to confirm directions with the resort when planning guest logistics.

Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa has guest rooms and suites on the property, allowing event attendees to stay on-site — a significant advantage for weddings or multi-day corporate retreats. This eliminates the need for guests to arrange external accommodation separately and supports a more immersive, resort-style event experience. Room availability and group booking rates should be confirmed with the reservations team at the time of event inquiry.

The resort has an in-house catering team that supports events held on the Front Lawn, offering food and beverage services covering both Indian and international menus suitable for banquets and cocktail-style setups. Specific menu options, dietary accommodations, and per-plate or package pricing are best discussed directly with the catering and events team. Whether outside caterers are permitted is a detail that should be confirmed with the resort.

Specific capacity figures for the Front Lawn depend on the event setup — seated dinners, standing cocktail receptions, and stage-plus-audience configurations each accommodate different guest counts. The resort's events team is the right point of contact to receive accurate capacity information based on your preferred layout and requirements.

As an open-air lawn, the Front Lawn is subject to weather conditions, making contingency planning an important part of the event discussion. Many organizers opt for marquee or shamiana installations to provide partial or full overhead cover, which the resort's events team can guide on. It is advisable to ask the team about indoor backup spaces within the property and their availability as weather contingencies during your booking conversation.

The open, unobstructed nature of the Front Lawn is well suited to elaborate wedding décor including floral mandaps, stage platforms, lighting rigs, and entrance installations. The lawn's positioning at the front of the resort also allows for dramatic arrival setups that create a strong first impression for guests. Structural and décor logistics, including any restrictions or vendor coordination, should be discussed with the events team during the planning stage.

Yes, Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa is part of The Fern Hotels & Resorts, a group recognised for its eco-sensitive approach to hospitality across its properties in India. This affiliation brings brand standards around sustainability and service quality to the resort and its event operations. Guests can expect the nature-forward sensibility that The Fern group is known for to be reflected in the resort's overall environment and event experience.

The resort features a spa and additional recreational facilities that are available to guests staying on-site, adding value to multi-day events such as wedding weekends or corporate retreats. These amenities give attendees meaningful downtime experiences between event functions. Access arrangements for day-event guests who are not staying overnight should be confirmed with the resort directly.

As a resort property, Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa is expected to have parking available for guests, which is particularly relevant for large events where attendees arrive by private vehicle. The exact capacity of the parking area and any arrangements for valet or managed parking during large functions should be confirmed with the events team when finalising event logistics.

Enquiries about the Front Lawn's availability and pricing can be directed to the resort's events team through the official website at ibizaresort.co.in or by contacting the property directly. It is helpful to have your event date, approximate guest count, and event type ready when reaching out so the team can provide an accurate proposal. Booking terms, advance payment requirements, and cancellation policies will be outlined as part of the formal quotation process.

The Front Lawn's open-air format and the resort's semi-rural Shirakol setting make it a compelling choice for corporate events that benefit from a relaxed, out-of-office atmosphere — including product launches, team-building days, and off-site meetings with outdoor components. The resort's in-house catering and accommodation facilities support full-day or multi-day corporate programmes. Specific AV, staging, or technical requirements for corporate formats should be discussed with the events coordinator.

Many resort properties work with both their in-house team and approved external vendors for décor, entertainment, and event management. Whether the Front Lawn has an open or preferred-vendor policy is something the resort's events team will clarify during the planning discussion. Confirming this early in the process helps organizers align their vendor shortlists with the property's requirements.

Unlike an enclosed banquet hall, the Front Lawn offers open skies, natural air circulation, and the resort's surrounding greenery as part of the event environment — qualities that are particularly valued for evening receptions, sangeet nights, and any event where atmosphere and photography backdrops matter. The lawn's position at the front of the Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa also enables grand arrival setups that an interior hall cannot replicate. The trade-off is exposure to weather, which makes contingency planning with the events team an important step for outdoor bookings.
